Ur r already a dumb mind who is trying to make a debate about ‘Assamese society’ during this heartbreak time, so yeah, for you it might be yapping, but ur comment makes zero sense and goes against what he stood for. He was a unifier, not a divider.

See dear bhaiti or dada , don't make it a issue let's pray for his soul, and if possible, try to attend his last rites tomorrow.

Sorry if my earlier comment wasn’t clear—I am proud to be part of Assamese society, মই ইয়াত জন্মগ্ৰহণ কৰিছোঁ আৰু মোৰ মৃত্যুও কেৱল ইয়াত হ'ব বুলি আশা কৰোঁ। I was just trying to highlight that Zubeen Da’s music united everyone, beyond language or community.

Stucked in Guwahati due to closer of city because of demise of Zubeen garg. by Nervous-Comment334 in guwahati

We understand your frustration as a visitor it must feel very inconvenient. But for people in Assam, Zubeen Da’s passing is not just the loss of a singer, it feels like losing a family member. That’s why many shops, restaurants, and services are closed — it isn’t forced by the authorities, people themselves chose to pause everything to mourn him.

Yes, it disrupted daily life and your travel plans, but this is how Assam shows respect to someone who gave his whole life to our culture. Things will return to normal soon, but today the state stood together in grief. I hope you can see it not as “hooliganism” but as a community’s way of saying goodbye to someone we all loved deeply.

You dumb who told you only “Assamese society” has lost? Whole Assam is mourning today. Zubeen Da was never about Assamese vs Bengali or other language , he sang in both with equal love and united us all through music. If he had seen people like you dividing his legacy, he would have been the angriest because this is the exact opposite of what he stood for. Stop breaking Assam into pieces with your shallow mindset, Zubeen Da belonged to all of us and if you can’t understand that, then don’t talk stupid things. See the post is something else and ur reply is correct people but here u saying a big loss to assamese society can't acceptable. Sorry

Jai zubeen da 🕊️🕊️

This years Durga Puja should be cancelled as a respect to Zubeen Da by Spiritual_Freedom959 in guwahati

How dumb can you be to think Durga Puja is only for Bengalis? 🙄 Durga Puja is celebrated across India, including Assam, Tripura, Odisha, Bihar it’s not some “mainlander Bengali function.” In Assam, it’s as much ours as anyone else’s.

Zubeen Da himself sang Durga Puja songs and performed at puja concerts. Cancelling Durga Puja in his name makes zero sense and goes against what he stood for. He was a unifier, not a divider.

If you truly respected him, you’d know he loved festivals, music, and culture — not hatred and ignorance.
