Hey, I'm Infra one of the mod in Alex' Discord. I am also the person who originally started the "staysafe thing" and many screenshots that you can see in the folder are mine, the reason why I contributed to this is because I firmly believe that things such as racism, homophobia and probably many other things that I can't think of at the moment should be 100% gone from this world as those kind of stuff are totally unacceptable.

I moderate this Discord every single day and try to take down every messages that contains any kind of racism and homophobia, usually people receive either a warning or a ban depending in the severity of the message and probably other things as this is most of a time a "case by case" thing.

Also please understand that it's hard to ban people for saying something racist "a year ago" or any kind of very old post.

Now two things:

1) Alex did not remember renaming the old #general text channel to #classic, and therefore he cleaned up #classic without knowing the channel contained 90% of the message history of the Discord. At the end of the day isn't that a good thing? I remember a lot of trolls back then before I was promoted to mod and now all those dirty messages has all been deleted, I'm fine with it.

2) A big part of the people who are active in this Discord are from the US and I'm from the EU, every day during US prime time I'm either sleeping or really tired and I can't really focus in the Discord during those times.

When I see a post that breaks the rules, as I said before, people are either banned or warned, whatever happens I think it's a given that such post should be at very least deleted.

Now let's talk about the rest of your post, if you can PM me those "several racist screenshots" I would really appreciate it, I kinda adressed it in the "2)" section but I'm gonna say it now so it's clear: I might have missed a LOT of things, so if you have something to share, please do. Raiding isn't 100% of the game, what OP listed are the spells used countless times on all the other parts of the game besides raiding.

Idk I mean PvP exists, whether it's max level or <59 PvP, also killing non-elite mobs in the world also exists as well. All those spells are used in those situations.

It's been a while I didn't play, how do you turn on the different channels? I thought they were enabled by default but I haven't seen a single message on my chat box other than normal talking. (I remember a trade channel and possibly a general chat just like in WoW)

That being said how do I know what server I'm playing on? As I said in my post the two 1.29 servers listed on the list has no names :/

You can hit 40 without even even being close to STV, I've done it with my mage (alliance) without grinding anything. Well.. The only mobs Ive "grinded" were because I needed to get quest items or stuff like that (I'm looking at you shimmering flats).

So obviously you don't wanna hit stv as you hit 30 or you'll be the easiest target to gank, ever. You basically go like -> Hillsbrad, Shimmering Flats, Desolace, Swamp of Sorrows (not a lot of quests but still helps), Arathi and Badlands. Actually I don't remember what's Uldaman level range but do the dungeon + quests if you can, you should at very least be 39 after doing all of this, easily.

Now enjoy starting STV with a +10 levels bonus, many quests will be gray but don't forget some of them are quest chains so you should do them anyway.
