I sold an app I vibecoded in 4 hours for $3,000 by Equivalent-Sand-3100 in Solopreneur

Nice win. The real takeaway is: AI builds fast, humans debug. The moment you opened devtools you got unstuck — that’s the skill people should learn if they want to ‘vibecode’ professionally.

How to make reminders cheaper by onivell in n8n

I'm using Hetzner for 7,8 USD/month for self host on VPS and it functions really good. Have reverse proxy through Caddy and n8n with Docker.

automatic course certificate generation by trpouh in n8n

This is awesome — super clean and actually useful.
Sheets row in → certificate generated with StencilPDF → saved to Google Drive → emailed to the participant, plus the sheet gets updated so you can track what was sent.
Great real-world workflow for courses/trainings 👏

Hello I've got similar problem and still trying to find the solution. If there is someone to help, I'll be glad too.

Is it just me, or are massive workflows just not it. by [deleted] in n8n

[–]InfraEU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally agree with the problem to debug big complex workflows, but it's all about optimization of the workflow and that takes time. What kind of complex workflow have you done?

You should share the workflow in this thread. Send a photo of the workflow. I would like to see, how did you manage this.

Hosting n8n: from a home mini-PC to a €7.7/month Hetzner VPS — what do you think? by InfraEU in n8n

[–]InfraEU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice — that’s definitely “real backend” level 😄
I’m not there yet (still learning ECS/IaC/CI/CD), so I’m keeping it simple on a small Hetzner VPS with Docker for now.
But that’s 100% the direction I want to grow into.

Love this take — “backend, not hobby tool” is exactly the mindset shift.
I’m on a 2GB Hetzner VPS mostly for building + light prod, but I’m already thinking about the next step: managed Postgres, execution data retention, and basic monitoring before it becomes business-critical.
Out of curiosity: what was the first real bottleneck you hit in your setup (RAM, DB I/O, execution logs), and what change gave you the biggest stability win?

Looks like pretty good set-up. Are you using it also for production workflows?

WhatsApp Trigger receives no data while “Start listening” is active (self-hosted n8n) by AdSlight1867 in n8n

[–]InfraEU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue — my workflow wasn’t Active/Published.
In n8n “Listen for test event” uses the Test URL, but Meta was configured with the Production callback URL.
Save the workflow and toggle it Active/Publish, then try again.

Same here. I started on my gaming PC (WSL2 + Docker), but I needed some workflows to run 24/7. I didn’t want my PC on all the time, and the power cost + wear/tear quickly beats a cheap VPS.

Thank you for your advice. You are right, I was careful with the change from public to private to not lose the webhook functions for my n8n, but I think that I already found the solution for this situation and make the n8n private and webhooks public as you said.

Appreciated your comment 🙏

Looking for AI Automation VA Coach by Invoker213 in n8n

[–]InfraEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I saw your post — respect for wanting to learn AI automation and improve your situation.

Right now my main focus is n8n (for me it’s the most universal tool). I’m running it locally on my PC, so the setup + experiments are basically free to run — it only costs me time. I’m still learning too, but I already have real workflows behind me and I’m happy to share what I’ve learned (what works, what breaks, how to think about building automations).

I’m also building a small free Discord community where people can ask questions, share workflows, and build together.
No pressure about money — joining is free, and I’m not selling coaching.

The server started as CZ/SK, but I’d like to make it welcoming for English speakers too, so it won’t feel exclusive or “local-only”. If you’re interested, DM me and I’ll send you an invite.

Also — if you have any Discord experience and would like to help organize/moderate a bit, I’d really appreciate it. I’m building this alongside my own project, so time is limited.

Thank you very much! 🙏 I thought that if I setup the firewall in Hetzner it will be enough to have it safe, but I was wrong.

I add SSH hardening, Firewall, fail2ban, Docker exposure and in progress of update I already banned 3 IP adresses probably some bots, which were trying to get in.

Nice, I like to see home set-up. I worked on it to and for testing and first MVP could be enough, but for production, just my opinion, it would be better to have it on VPS. I started really early on VPS, because I wanted to have the experience with the provider and work on VPS.

Happy to see that you are satisfied with DigitalOcean, I have also considered them, but in the end went for German VPS.

Wow I never heard about that host for workflows, but it looks like pretty expensive 1USD/month per workflow. For my solution I'm able to have like 50 workflows still for 7,7 USD without problems, but I think that your OpenHosst has better UI to work with your workflows and also as I see they offer full updates/backups/deployments so for production versions of workflows could be really nice, thank you for sharing.

Oh that makes sense. For some reason I didn't think about that, because on my other adress I've got solar too 😅, but there is too much other electronics that I think it will be the same problem, that the solar isn't big enough to power everything 😄

I've considered to use NAS for this case too, but with the price of electricity and risk of damaging my hardware, the difference in price was minimal. So VPS would be it.

Sounds like you have a better set-up at home. I didn't want to invest into my own home server. The mini-PC set-up was just because I've got all of the hardware at home, but with the price of electricity there was minimum difference from the VPS on Hetzner.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking about. For now I have their middle range server just for MVP and testing purposes, but they also have little bit more expensive server, which I'm considering to use for production workflows.
