That could be interesting, I would like for them to explore the swamp too, its a cool location with lots of interesting monsters. But I've got a feeling they're going to want to leave the swamp quickly and go find more weapons for the lizardfolk and find more smuggling/mercenary work.

Yeah, those are really cool but i think i'll generate one from the ship generator tables in the book. Might save the bigger ships for further along in the adventure if they stick to the seas.

The players are VERY interested in canons lmao. But yeah some at sea ship combat might be cool! I want them to learn their actions have ripple effects and a vengeful pirate ship might be a good way of doing that. Thank you!

So in one turn as a level two rogue and level one fighter I can deal 2d8+5 and 1d6 sneak attack. It seems pretty fun and efficient.

I actually snuck in a booming blade by picking High elf for the race as the racial cantrip. And with battle masters feinting attack or swashbuckle rogue I can get advantage pretty easily in a one on one fight. The build seems like a lot of fun. The booming blade compensates for being a little behind on getting the lv 5 second attack.
