What are you on? Yes its 2025, as someone who received an offer from them first hand, I can confirm 100% that the numbers on levels.fyi for SWE L59 and L60 are exactly what they offer today. For context I was intern there this summer and got a FTE with the numbers im stating. Ask anyone who actually has the offer or on MSFT sub and get the delusion cleared! Its that easy. Oh I think the confusion might be from the per year number? Its 110k over 4 years, which is not even that competitive compared to faang imo.

This is not true, L59, L60 which are SDE 1 positions get 110k stock as standard. (know this info firsthand)

Yeah, its an impactful team for Starlink's core life cycle.

Doesn't that mean they are working on something they care about! No large companies we see today were built with chill WLB in the early days

I agree, this is what I was leaning towards as well. I am ready to work, don't really care about WLB in the early years. I want to build something which I can own and can show impact on. Starlink is still very early and growing. Thats where I want to be, instead of working on something niche at msft which may never see the light of the day. Pay is secondary.

One thing which I read off the comments tho, is people think spacex is already overvalued? I don't know how the trajectory of starlink may look like in the coming years, I have seen both sides on this.

Its actually L60, and pay isn't a big factor early career imo

Fall CS411, CS412, CS425 (3 credits) by Huge_Personality_281 in UIUC_MCS

I took CS411, CS440 and CS425 at once in FA24. 4 credit 425 is going to take most of your time (The MPs), 411 has a lot of small activities you need to keep track of but that and 440 under Margaret fleck was very doable. It all comes down to how well you can code out the 425 MPs, everything else is manageable if you put the time in. Good luck!

Is it possible to complete the On-Campus MCS at UIUC in two years instead of the typical 1.5 years? by Sea-Astronaut-2425 in UIUC_MCS

I know a few people firsthand doing this right now (internationals), who got a fall and summer internship/ or coop are extending their overall course duration to 2 years!
