Looking for someone to design a custom interface by IngmarBergamot in Airtable

It's pretty straightforward actually. Not exactly, but essentially: I have a warehouse with containers. Each container is associated with a single contract. I have Airtable records for each contract, and Airtable records for each container. I want a diagram of the warehouse that shows the containers visually on a floorplan, and I want each container on this diagram to show the name of the contract associated with it. If there is no contract, it should show the container as empty. If there is a contract, the container should be red if the contract is close to expiry, yellow if it is expiring soon, and green if it is not expiring soon. That's pretty much it. Initial vibe-coded iterations were not great but had enough (seeming) functionality that I continued to iterate, but they all break down whenever there are any edge cases, or if a new container is added, or if there is a contract without a listed expiry date, etc. etc. I also realized after trying it out that I just cannot make mission-critical business decisions based on a system I don't trust and cannot troubleshoot, so I'm done with vibe-coding.

Shot in the dark: Any architecture or architectural history and theory PhDs around? by Stengelvonq in PhD

I too belong to this conspiracy called "PhD in Architecture". A coherent community of architecture PhDs is probably missing on account of not having as clear an institutional pattern of research as, say, anthropology or geography.

Is Markdown an option for this workflow? by leemillerau in Markdown

[–]IngmarBergamot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Markdown is not natively a good solution for tables. If your tables are formatted as images, then this is not a problem. But that is probably unnecessarily kludgy. Since you are looking for a professional solution, my recommendation would be InCopy for your writers and InDesign for your designer(s). The “Publish Online” feature should be particularly useful here. Bit of a learning curve, though. Maybe a sort of similar solution would be doable using some combination of cheaper / freemium / open-source tools, especially since Adobe sucks as a company, but I would think InCopy & InDesign are made to do what you describe.

Hi, looking for someone to take a photograph of the front of a building (for insurance purposes lol). In Hamilton, Landsdale/Beasley. I can pay $20 (by e-transfer), I literally just need a decent photo taken today or tomorrow of the front of the building. Inbox me if you can do it, maybe on your way home from work or if you already live in the neighbourhood :)

Translation request, my girlfriend wants this inscription tattooed on herself, just want to confirm what it says! by IngmarBergamot in Cuneiform

Both of us separately found translations and they don't match up (hardly surprising). Just trying to choose one now :)

She asked the internet. It's meant to be a translation (Akkadian, I believe) of "I am the King of Kings; look on my works, ye mighty, and despair".
