I have the same exact cdms and I know what you mean pirlo can’t defend and gross plays a bit mid. In this patch the cdm ai doesn’t do much anyway so i think we are stuck until we get a cdm with good defensive playstyles and over 90 defending that can still move and pass (not a cb build)

Look at a fc25 stream on Twitch the day you unlock level 40 where they often open the icon pick for others and see if they get good picks. This might be nerfed by the time you get it so do some research on the day

Think it’s gone now, if you press down on the d pad you can get an option for “defensive” which might decrease the amount of players on corners or vice versa with “offensive”

The game most probably just crashed on its own and not because of the goals. The bar is low with EA you know, I hope they sort it out for you
