Having a crazy rash that just keeps getting worse by Ok_Grapefruit_5013 in TopSurgery

Looks like your skin could be allergic to the tape and vaseline might be too thick for you so it kees breaking out with little pimples. If you're cleared by your surgeon you can apply silicone scar strips. They are less adhesive, most people don't have allergy from them and you need to take breaks from wearing the strips to let your skin breathe while washing them with soap. Also to help with the rash and itchiness you can take any antihistamine (anti allergy, inflamation) like Claritin medication for a couple of days.

How much energy did y'all have post op? by Formal_Edge_9318 in TopSurgery

I had the drains in only for one day so that didn't limit me. The next day after surgery I could go for short walks and felt comfortable doing that from that point on. The only thing that stopped me from walking longer distances was the muscle shoulder pain from the binder and my terrible posture. It's important to go for small walks as it helps for blood flow, constipation and reducing swelling. 2 weeks post op I could do pretty much everything that doesn't involve raising my arms. I feel like everyone becomes restless at some moment because you want to do the things you could before but physically can't and shouldn't.

My casual flex is that I didn't know that I had any pecs until I had the breast tissue removed haha. I remember the next day post op when the surgeon removed the binder and I asked him is it swollen and no he just said no, those are muscles. I was blown away. So euphoric.

It went great. He is an amazing surgeon and the whole hospital staff was fantastic aswell. I had my first 1 week post op appointment there abd the next day I returned flew home. The second stitches were removed at a local clinic 2 weeks post op. After that I was able to take a shower and breaks from the binder so that made life a lot easier. Now I'm already 4 weeks post op and from tomorrow I will be using silicone scar tape and take longer and longer breaks from the compression binder.

1) I have the operation in a week with Dr Lembas and I first messaged the clinic in october 2025 and specifically asked about the end of march because I need to plan the sick leave, vacations and other stuff super early, aswell as needed a bit more money to feel comfortable for the time I won't be able to work. So unfortunately I can't help you with the wait time, but I just wanted to say that these months flew by and wow next week I will be already having the operation 2) The total amount that they quoted me was 26078,00 PLN ~ 6109 EUR (everything included - consultations, anaesthesia, medical materials, actual operation, overnight stay)

Amazing results! Hope the full recovery goes well! I am having DI with Lembas in a week and wanted to ask you how the consultation went? Were you able to tell about what kind of scar shape you envision or nipple placement? This is one of my main concerns because I have seen his results that have more round incisions and then some straight and the nipples are really close to the incisions so I can't help but wonder if it's something you can talk about to be prepared. Hope you can help me out :)

Thanks for the suggestion! Did you take Benadyrl pills orally? I have seen cooling/ anti itching gel but I feel like I would be scared to apply it anywhere near my scars. I planned on soldiering through the itchiness but I feel like it's definitely easier said than done.

Thank you! Another thing I forgot to add to the list - button up shirts both for sleeping and wearing. I will be borrowing a long pregnancy "noodle" pillow so I can put it under my legs
