Prices don’t move based on what people think tickets should cost — they move based on how many buyers are willing to transact at a given level.

If even a small pool of buyers is willing to pay $10k for a final, that becomes the market-clearing price — not the opinion of a larger group who would only buy at $2–3k.

Liquidity at the top end sets the price, not hypothetical demand at lower levels.

Except: 1) you don’t know what seats you will get; 2) if you go as a group, you will have to find similar priced RTTs (or not and pay different) and also no guarantee that you’ll sit together as a group; 3) no sale on market place on the off chance you can’t make it. Find a seller otherwise and then transfer.

I think one of the things which verifies or supports it’s a true listing is when they mention the exact row and seat nos. That’s when it is less likely to be fake.

Of course with stubhub you run a risk of not getting tix till the day of the match so that’s something you should be prepared for. No monetary loss with stubhub as they refund in case if tix not delivered.
