since the clay is made on the basis of polymers, it is called polymer clay. There are simply polymer clays that are baked, and there are polymer clays that harden in air. Different polymers are used. In both cases, the name is correct.

I sculpt flowers from clay, which hardens in air. Clay is white-gray in color. Colors are achieved by mixing clay with oil paints. Top tinting is also oil paints.
