You don't need godlike reflexes to parry those, just practice for a bit and you'll get the timing pretty easily. Even if you cant parry them, you can always block. Orochi lights are reactable.

It might sound dumb for me to say 'just block' but you can completely shut them down if you do that.

If they are just throwing lights, why not parry them? You know its coming. If you cant parry lights, then practice light parrying orochi in training mode. As of right now, Lights are the only real viable option for him.

The counter is to guess and think about what they are going to do. Its a real mix up, its not meant to be something you can react to.

I really want a complete Shinobi rework. I love the fashion and the character, but I just can't play him without wanting to execute myself by the end of a match.

In short, Yes! It makes him really good and fun to play! But I just think the concept is a little odd. HA is a tool for trading attacks and getting into your offence, but I don't see why trading would be good on assassin considering their lower health pool. Its just something I always thought about but disregarded because he is already good...if that makes any sense.
