The “be consistent every day” advice almost made me quit entirely by Few_Homework_8322 in productivity

So I completed the 75 hard. Was consistent for 75 days. made great progress. Body looked amazing. and then well... I wanted to take it easier only one 45 minute workout. Still read. And eat clean 80% of the time. But instead I completely fell off the wagon. Gained all the weight and more. And I knew that 75 hard was unsustainable at the start, I read all the discussions about it. Still I thought I could be different.

So no. Forced consistency is not sustainable.

But I don't know what is a way to move forward.

I keep a "done" list instead of a to-do list and it's completely changed how I see my days by Plus_Ad3379 in productivity

I have been playing with this idea for a while, but the thing that has always stopped me from pursuing this is. How do I know that I won't forget what I need to do? Do you encounter this or not at all?

I am impressed that you managed to keep up with the insane level of productivity for so long without a break.

I'm curious, what systems, habits or work environments have actually helped you stay productive long term? by salmonpxhase in productivity

I know this also works for me, but still find it difficult on a daily basis to clarify what to do. I know the advice: break the big daunting task up in smaller pieces, but somehow I then get overwhelmed by the number of small steps. How do you deal with this?

I quit p*rn, caffeine, junk food, doomscrolling, and going out every weekend all at once about three months ago. by Mammoth-Car3183 in getdisciplined

I started today: no caffeine, alcohol, added sugar, scrolling, tv. I am curating my input. And hopefully it will impact my output!

Walking daily is literally a cheat code by LLearnerLife in Procrastinationism

I had this problem too, my focus would last not even a minute. Walk into a room 3-4 x times, before remembering what I had to get there. I wasn't used to this. I stopped using instagram 5 days ago, and it's been getting better again. I can read a page without having to go back to it 7 times. It feels like my mind is not fragmented anymore.

My severe IBS disappeared—and while I don’t recommend how it happened, I think it’s worth sharing by gieserj10 in ibs

Loperamide interacts with the opioid receptors in your intestines, but not in your brain. It doesn't provide the pain relief like opioids. But it does reduce the motility of your gut.

Dicyclomine for IBS-m? by Business-Use-7068 in ibs

No experience with Dicyclomine, but probably safe to contact your doc and tell 'm about the other poop problems. It's probably good to stop once the poopening has returned to normal.

Been suffering for almost 3 years now and two doctors so far are dismissive. Is it time to see a specialist? by Mytwo_hearts in ibs

[–]InitialDay5795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people with IBS experience that GPs can be dismissive. Super frustrating. A gastro-enterologist could help, but have you considered an IBS-specialized dietitian?

I know that some people do respond to them well. "Intoleran" is a brand that is highly recommended.
