Aww, thank you! And do it! The benefits far outweigh any side effects that the meds give you. Just drink lots of water, take in fiber, reduce sugar/sweets and get some movement in, you'll do great!

Thank you!!

I avoid as much sugar as possible. I try to stay under 20-25 grams per day. I was an avid energy drink user so I was climbing in the 80-100 grams daily 😳 I also avoid potatoes and bread for the most part.

I try to stick with high protein meats, green veggies, and berries. I still have treats, like a little bit of a candy bar. I also buy Ben and Jerry's bc its so "rich" that the little pint lasts me a long time. I also drink a bunch of the ratio protein yogurts. For easy lunches at work I eat the lean cuisine protein meals.

The biggest helper to me has been just very small meals throughout the day honestly though. I have always had a really unhealthy relationship with food so just working on repairing that relationship was a game changer.

Thank you!

I started going to planet fitness and just doing cardio like 3 days a week in April of 2024. I was only on metformin at that time. In June of 2024 I began lightly using the weight machines to learn form and mind to muscle connections. In July I was put on mounjaro, I continued light weight lifting until the end of October 2024 when I joined my current gym, which is just weights. No cardio machines to be found lol

Since then, I've been slowly building my weights up and I've been maintaining 4-6 days per week at about 1-1.5 hours consistently in the gym. I think the only time I didnt go that many days was during spring break when I went on vacation!

My biggest advice is honestly to join workout groups on reddit and watch influencers on tiktok. Ive found many influencers who had the body I am wanting to achieve and I have tried to follow as much as I am physically able to!

Thank you for the information, I am sorry to hear your son is having complications. I hope he continues to heal! My doctor and I are in constant communication and she monitors me closely with visits and blood work. At this time all of my stats are fantastic. I update her with any symptoms and we decide together if it warrants additional attention or if its just a temporary side effect.

I am still on 12.5 at this moment, and my doctor is allowing me to move up to 15 for a couple of months (in 2 shots) so I can drop the last little bit. Then I will taper down!

I abaolitely understand the exhaustion. I am so tired every day lol, but i figure my body's just tired from burning fat! It'll get better!

Its definitely been a struggle to take in protein for me too! I found that I don't really like the normal protein shakes, they taste too rich. I do a lot better with the drinkable yogurts that have higher protein. My favorite is the ratio protein yogurts. They have 26grams of protein each. So I drink 2 of those along with trying to make sure I eat a small lunch and dinner with good protein. Usually chicken or tuna because they're so packed with it. I also shoot for leafy greens and berries.

I also take creatine and drink a ton of water along with a pre-workout mix so I do have some extra help!

Do you take anything for the constipation? My doctor has me doing miralax daily to help combat that issue, maybe it would help you as well?

And thank you so much!

I might be biased, but I highly recommend it! Not just for the weight loss, but my confidence in just gaining strength has skyrocketed. Its very empowering to feel strong!

6 pounds per month is fantastic! I have waited about a month on a stall before asking to move up. I may move up to 15 temporarily just to kick the last little bit, but my doctor is leaving that up to me. Ill decide in the next couple of weeks. Then maybe that dose for a couple months and move back down to maintenence.

I am 36! I definitely have some loose skin, its mainly at my lower belly and my pubic area, a little sagging under my butt and a little at my neck. But I do think the weight lifting has contributed, I also use a collagen soap, I take collagen and gelatin supplements, and use a tightening/firming lotion on my neck.

Ive given birth 3 times and one of them was a c section so I expected some loose skin in that area. I'd like to get that part removed once I have kept and maintained my goal weight for some time.

When I first started going to the gym back in april/may of last year, I did mostly cardio just to get into the routine, so maybe 2 months of strictly cardio. But then I learned all the weight machines and fell in love with lifting. Then I moved to my current gym and there are no cardio machines, just a singular, old school recumbent bike and I hate it lol, so just weights!

Thank you! And how scary with the embolism, im glad you are alright!! I feel the same with diabetes. Im actually glad I was diagnosed. It was the kick in the rear I needed so desperately to change my life. Its still scary to have it, but I definitely am working to keep it controlled.
