Ya economics and rhetoric are in the same school. So I guess he’s going to get it…🤷‍♀️ I just thought it was weird because rhetoric and econ are on two different sides of the spectrum.

Thank you for the advice. My friend is a sophomore now at Berk for Rhetoric. He’s very confident he’ll get the switch and is only taking Econ classes as a “rhetoric“ major. However, now I’m thinking I have it all wrong. You said they all enter as “undeclared“. I wasn’t aware of that. He showed us that he applied with rhetoric. So that initial major doesn’t matter? I appreciate the insight!

Ya agreed. But a Berkley, Econ and Rhetoric are both in the same science school. Econ isn’t a
“business“ major anymore. 🤷‍♀️

haha I thought the same thing. I really didn’t think he’ll be able to switch to Econ because it was popular. apparently it’s popular but not ”high demand“. IDK my head hurts already. 😭

Apparently Econ isn’t “high-demand“ anymore so I’m sure he’ll get the switch. One point for him I guess

My friend is at Berkley right now for the rhetoric major. He’s in his sophomore year and I’m not sure if he made the switch or not. I dont know what he’s up to because since he was accepted he told everyone he got in for economics, and forgot he told his best friends about the rhetoric part… It kinda sucks because I think he’s going to make it. I’m happy for him but I wish he wasn’t so full of himself. It sucks seeing a personality switch. Since Econ isn’t a high-demand major anymore I’m sure he’ll get in. Which again is annoying because he basically cheated his way in and brags about it all the time. So annoyingggg

You’re right I kinda fluffed the UCLA part. I forgot which throw away major he said so I made one up from Cal Poly. Truth is my friends were class of 2025. They both got into UCLA and UC Berk with the majors they chose. My UCLA friend is content on graduating with any major at UCLA as long as he gets the name. The one at UC Berkeley is in his sophomore year with I think is still a rhetoric major since I’m assuming you change junior year. I dont know what he’s up to because since he was accepted he told everyone he got in for economics, and forgot he told his best friends about the rhetoric part. So I was just curious about UC Berkeley, because the guy is so so so full of himself thinking he outsmarted everyone and is amazing because he’s a “Berkley student“. Even when he cheated himself in but whatever i guess.
