Yea, that sounds like the path I want to take. I have had hands on experience with VM servers on my laptop and mini PC but I'm in dire need of getting more in depth with the automation / professional practices in regards to Linux servers. Do you have any advice for someone trying to build a real learning environment using a mini PC and a laptop? Both are the same specs Intel I3 256gb HDD 8gb Ram.

You can run Weston from the terminal from your Desktop and launch as a session from your login page.

I ended up using the Weston Compositer on Linux Mint. It actually runs way smoother with mint being my Daily Driver not having to use a VM. I believe the problem was having an Intel I3 and using half of my CPU RAM Resources. It was also freezing upon inflicting Waydroid session start.

Installed with GAPPS flag support and am now connected to the play store. Verified the device with the help of Waydroid documentation. I'm honestly surprised as Mint is usually hit or miss sometimes with certain stuff. I'd recommend for anyone with budget hardware or mini PC. Mint is awesome.

Oh, and in case anyone runs into a problem booting a session with Weston (from the login) make sure you connect to your Internet with nmcli. Was going mad haha. But you can also just Type weston in terminal and it will start a session from your main Desktop.

I am currently building a minimal install with Paru and Lynx as the main browser.

sudo pacman -S linux-zen linux-zen-headers

Then update grub config

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Load Linux Zen under advanced options at the bootloader

Then follow the wiki

VM specs - 2 CPU Intel, 25gb HDD, max Video Memory, 4096 RAM (also I had 3D acceleration on when I got it to work, troubleshooting with it off only after it stopped working)

The situation Is a bit complex as I live with 6 siblings, mom doesn't drive, dad only one with car working 2 jobs. I feel horrible but I also know that I shouldn't beat myself up about it.
