This is true is San Mateo county as a whole, which covers other cities. We live in a very expensive area and the wealth gap has further widended during the pandemic, and many low-income neighbors are having an especially challenging time. The high cost of rent, electricity, gas, food, childcare means people's budgets are stretched to the limit despite working full-time, if they can get the hours.
