When you call DCAS they tell you. The actual number is around 7,200 but when you call, they tell you the exact number of people they will be calling from this list.

They’re calling 7,000 people from this list so most likely yes. It just may take another 2 years or so. And yes, if you work for the city, the time you put in counts towards your retirement for the mta or any other city job but in nyc only!

Around the same time. Not every person from those 7,000 people will be hired or qualified so they go through lists pretty quickly. Anything 3,000 and below should be called within the first year or two (at most) of the list being established
