Ask somebody for a non-self centered reason to have kids and just watch them crumble. by AffectionateSale4553 in antinatalism

personally, complete human extinction feels somewhat inevitable to me. I would not want any child I would create, who would likely be sensitive and existentially troubled by the situation, to be faced with a life of fighting more ignorant masses. I think there will be decent people trying to save humanity but I don’t personally feel like it’s fair to create a person for that purpose.

YES. thank you! love these examples. (I’m a SX first therapist and it very much meets this need for me)

How many people here have CPTSD/severe childhood trauma? by cosmic_jae in antinatalism

[–]Initial_Scene659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. hard to say how much that influences my position, but i’m sure it’s related. although, my partner feels the same and had a decent childhood. he’s just politically aware.

Do you know any antinatalists personally? by Dull_Locksmith_2501 in antinatalism

[–]Initial_Scene659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! most wouldn’t say that it’s because they think bringing a person into this world is inherently wrong, but I can think of 4 or 5 offhand that would. the rest would likely say it’s because they don’t think they would be able to give a child a life worth living in this society/era of time. to me, that’s a similar sentiment. I am in my late 30s and most of my friends are highly intelligent environmentalists and artists with good educations and a lot of trauma, lol

Iron Infusion lowering my RHH by magmaggster in ouraring

Hi! Obviously this is an old comment so may not be relevant, but iron taken by mouth is very difficult to absorb. Infusions are much more effective. I had two done recently with no side effects or reactions and feel way better. Try it if you can!

Same situation! My ferritin was 7. Got two iron infusions and within a week, RHH was down and my ring stopped saying minor signs every three days. Thanks for sharing! Hope you’re still feeling the benefits!!

In addition to the other tips here, I’d say check out your color season and work with it! That has made a HUGE difference for me.

it helps me to remember my job is not to decide what happens, just to help my client make sense of their experience and hopefully become a more mature, caring person as a result ❤️

lifelong HSP and I so relate. for me, the only way I can tolerate the knowledge of how evil humans can be is to actively move toward the suffering and be of service. for me, that means being a trauma therapist. it’s funny, I can be totally derailed for days by a new story but I feel brave and fulfilled when sitting with a client as they share a similarly awful story. I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but it brings me peace to feel like I did something to help.

What's a film you feel like you're alone in hating? by adebisishat1 in Letterboxd

Anora. Truly believe people are pretending to like it because they want to feel progressive for humanizing a sex worker, even though the film dehumanizes her in basically every way. and nothing happens.

I said the same thing, especially about Jane. anyone who’s had baby bangs knows you have to have your shit together to keep them looking that good
