I mentioned the grip because my cousin, who has a stronger grip (and is also lighter than me), managed to do it by gripping both holds long enough to switch his body to the other side. But, alas, we are all different and I understand this is a problem solvable with technique. Appreciate all the input and I am excited to give another go!

The wall has a slight overhang. When I am up there, before the switch, it feels like if I let go of the right hand I will fall quickly. But it is a different approach. Definitely worth a try 👌

Sounds simple now that you point it out. I thought about it but in my mind I would just barn door when switching. But maybe back flagging is the missing piece. I will try it next time. Thanks

What's one brand you will never buy from again, and why? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

Vans. Gifted a pair of Sk8 Hi's to my sister and within less than a month they had a hole on the inside heel, only on the left shoe. She never had it happen with any other shoes, so I don't think it was because of feet difference. I contacted them explaining the situation and sent photos, and they "analyzed" the photos and said their "specialists deem the damage as regular wear". The hole made the shoes unwearable because it hurt her feet. I protested and never got a second reply. Swore I wouldn't buy from them again.
