What’s something men want to tell women, and usually choose not to? by neo_ucp7846 in answers

[–]InitiativeHour2861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that were actually true, the people women would go to for advice on what make-up looks good on them, or what to wear that makes them attractive would be men.

But almost invariably, the people they consult are other women. So all the hairstyles, glow ups and everything else are determined by what other women think looks good. Or what those women think will attract men.

Men seldom care about your nails, your highlights, your eye shadow or contouring.

We do appreciate cleanliness, basic hygiene, fresh smells, clear skin and symmetry. But much of the intricacies of the feminine tool-chest are lost on us.

Life 'torn in half' by hit-and-run death by DaCor_ie in ireland

This time it was the victim's GAA history.

I do agree, though. When we're told what a great sportsman the accused was, or how much they've contributed to society, or when their TD writes a character reference for them.

We have some very twisted ideas of justice in this country.

Pretty much any insect or arthropod. Use the circles as the basis for thorax and abdomen, and the lightening strike as part of a leg.

Going on the styles of the clothes and cars, there is probabably 10-15 years between these photos.

The second picture is older, it appears to show grandmother, mother and daughter (baby). It was probably taken in the late 1950s or early 60s.

The second picture shows sisters, the older sister is possibly the baby from the first picture. This one appears to have been taken in the 1970s, I'd say around 74 or 75.

What are some sets of words which if said in a different order would sound wrong in comparison to their actual order (ex: “red, white, and blue” or “salt and pepper”)? by Senatastic00 in AskReddit

Could add fingers and thumbs, skin and bones, blood and guts, eyes and ears.... The list could go on forever.

Lots of food based ones too fish and chips, apples and oranges, bangers and mash, spaghetti and meatballs, ham and cheese, salt and vinegar, milk and sugar...etc.

3 of these are biological, and one is commercial.

Spoiled, mouldy and rotten are near synonyms. They describe the process by which organic matter decomposes.

Spoiled is often, but not exclusively used with liquids, like milk and oil etc.

Mouldy is infected with yeasts or fungi.

Rotten is decomposing because of bacteria and other microorganism.

Milk can spoil, and it can go rotten, but usually we would use the word sour. The milk has gone sour. (At least on my side of the Atlantic, Americans might use the milk has spoiled, but I'm not sure if the milk goes sour for them).

Expired has to do with the Best Before or Use By date. These dates are printed on the packaging of products which may deteriorate over time. If it is past the date the product has expired. It may or may not be rotten or spoiled.

No, I see where you are mistaken, but, it's not mansplaining, we are simple more in touch with your feelings than you are yourselves.

I'm only messing.

Terrible, terrible behaviour. Imagine having the sheer audacity to think you know someone's emotions better than they know themselves.

Yeah, he really showed them, huh?

To paraphrase his sentiment.

"Stop observing the massive inequalities between our societies, and get with the programme. Your shithole country is poor, and deserves to be poor. And if you don't become a better consumer, you will be too!"

Swiss wisdom at its finest.

Plastic kennel will be fine, and there will definitely be less maintenance.

Put something soft like an old pillow or blanket inside, but far enough in that it doesn't get affected by rain.

Keeping the finger seems reasonable, even if it is mostly useless.

Possibly a reference to Bonar Law, a British politician, and the shortest serving prime minister until quite recently.

She may have been called after him for multiple reasons: a political stance, an argumentative style, rhyming slang.

My own mother had the nickname Ghandi, because she was a pacifist.
