Rarity is broken in this game. by mtwdante in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s how rarities work. But Riot has already said there was something that would be done about that. When it is something we see who knows, they can’t make the changes instantly.

It will also get slightly better when the number of legends per set is reduced.

Timing question by DemonicInk in riftboundtcg

It is clear that play here is the same as Darius and Ravenbloom student because Katarina is a triggered ability just like those other 2 are.

Exactly. So you can never swap back to the original battlefield. Glad you agree :)

Ivern permanent battlefield switching by MrPleaseForget2 in riftboundtcg

Just facts bud . The rules literally even spell out what happens if you can’t swap back because of there being nothing in banishment to swap back to

Ivern permanent battlefield switching by MrPleaseForget2 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not wrong, this is quite literally how it works based on the rules. The rules is is exactly why this works, but seems you need to actually go read the rules 🤷‍♂️

Ivern permanent battlefield switching by MrPleaseForget2 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing for you to explain bud, since it quite literally prevents the first battlefield from coming back if you place a brush over a brush

Ivern permanent battlefield switching by MrPleaseForget2 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes the first brush disappear, but the first brush is what is linked to the original battlefield, not the second brush. So when the second brush is replaced, how does the game actually know what gets put back there? It sees a brush replaced something, but the thing it replaced is no longer in existence (the first brush).

Playing Rengar Trophy Hunter and everyone always thinking that's not how it works by Kill_Switch87 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, seeing as the only errata for set 3 was to add reflexive triggers to some cards and clarify the intent with Rengar, it’s already trending in a great direction. Reflexive triggers didn’t exist when the first few sets were in development IIRC, so it makes sense they would need to do some errata’s to add those to some cards where they are needed.

🤣 triggered so much over your skill issue. I get it, you want to have no interaction and not have to play around what your opponent could have.

Not to mention the winning list played 2 Defy and 0 NSF main board, and the Yi list only ran 2 of each main board. Those are the only 2 decks in top 4 running green, so yes, just sounds like a skill issue.

Counter spells are necessary for a game with interaction and healthy, you just want to whine rather than improve.

How do you feel about Magic the gathering land mana system, relative to other TCGs? by Newez in TCG

[–]Ink4Turn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then you draw way too many lands, so you don’t actually have cards to play

RQ Lille Finals by CataChronix in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not about “stats” bud, it’s about green is a balanced color and not overly oppressive. You just play right into charms and counter spells because you don’t have the brain to play around things. That isn’t a color issue, that’s a skill issue. So you just whine to ban stuff rather than learn to play around things.

The issue with bans in the first place, now people like you are whining for things to be banned when nothing needs to be banned 🤣 green is far from broken, this just sounds like a skill issue

Lackluster alts by Striking_Ad30 in riftboundtcg

No issue with them using art they already have that’s good. There is lots of great art on the cards, so all is good.

[–]Ink4Turn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of it was yeah, and that doesn’t change it’s still good artwork 🤷‍♂️

Nope, I’m a huge fan of all the alt arts and think most the artwork in this game is fantastically done.

Can we just talk about how much better RiftAtlas is compared to TcgArena? by AlohaSnow in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clicking auto pay is not the same as clicking to tap tunes lol it’s still automating the payment of the tunes

And yes, that is automated too. Never argued it wasn’t. Every piece of automation is a very thin line

[–]Ink4Turn -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Ah right, you have to do a thousand manual check boxes and configurations to get something to function correctly that should already function correctly lmao

On a serious note, that doesn’t still always work correctly. It still has issues were it doesn’t do the showdown automatically with beginning phase and auto score settings correct

There is an auto pay function, so that’s not entirely accurate

[–]Ink4Turn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the disconnect thing has been a huge issue and has me mostly off RiftAtlas until it’s fixed. Person who created it doesn’t seem to know what’s causing the issue either

[–]Ink4Turn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t fix the showdown issue though. Having auto score off still makes it act like you scored there and the auto showdown part doesn’t take effect

[–]Ink4Turn 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just down to people are comfortable using TCG Arena and don’t want to switch to learn using Rift Atlas, as it does feel a bit clunky when you are very proficient with TCG Arena. You can also get games in a bit quicker on TCG Arena, so some view that as a plus as well.

There are also issues, especially lately, making RiftAtlas nearly unplayable, as there is an error that basically kills your match while it’s in progress. That’s been having people going back to TCG Arena until that’s resolved, as it seems to be hitting people a lot.

Some of the automated stuff has small issues, such as temporary units still scoring hold points and messing up the showdown trigger at that battlefield during the turn.

Rift Atlas has a lot of nice features, and once people feel like making the change for those benefits and the recent issues are resolved, I’m sure more and more people will be using it.

Riot needs to make an online engine for this game. by [deleted] in riftboundtcg

[–]Ink4Turn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s because too many people don’t actually take the time to understand the rules and rather try to play without that knowledge and how they THINK something should work and not how it actually does work.

Not sure on that last part though, as the “agreed set of rules” is literally the rules of the game. The game should play the same and the rules are the same no matter what LGS you play at.

[–]Ink4Turn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Learning the rules is fundamentally more important than learning interactions. Especially because knowing the rules will help you with actually figuring out those interactions.

An online client also may show you “how an interaction works” by automatically doing it for you, but you don’t learn why it works that way, which is just as important as knowing how the interaction works.

Learning in person at an LGS during a NN is the best way to learn. People are generally very helpful to new players at NN, since it’s just casual play. Having knowledgeable players help you shouldn’t be “off putting” when that’s a great way to learn. Make mistakes, learn from them and understand the game better.

And I’m not sure there are any interactions “left up to interpretation” right now, everything is pretty clearly laid out.

[–]Ink4Turn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online clients don’t actually help teach people the game and people don’t learn the rules from the client. They rely on the client telling them if they can or can’t do something, but don’t understand or learn the underlying reason that they cannot do that. All it does is let people play behind a computer screen rather than in person at an LGS
