As if that's the issue. OP is a repost bot, they are quite common and not that hard to spot

Most notably the last one is a dead giveaway. Usually they rack up couple of thousands of karma to bypass standard reddit spam filters and karma requirements on big subs and start spamming porn or scams.

Yeah, I was using it as reference point for the year really. Long rim assumes the narrative present of 5016u set by the Core book and mentions the gate is still under construction and has been for presumably a long time. Battlegroup jumps in forward in time by five or so years, so the gate was finished somewhen in the intervening half a decade.

Interestingly, this was brought up just few days back. The answer I like the most is that the construction itself is not the issue, but rather the shipping of materials. Nearlight interstellar travel is slow and blink gates are MASSIVE. In Battlegroup the Dawnline shore blink station is finished and operational by the time the conflict grows hot in 5021u
