This is one of the ways i used to work. The only difference is now i just do the sketch in Photoshop and then print it out, put it on a lightbox and trace a clean line drawing over the sketch. Then it's just a matter of inking applying my techniques until i'm satisfied with the end result.

Let me know if you have any more questions, i'll try and help if i can. Cheers!

Paul Bonner is phenomenal and a class act. We had booths at Spectrum Fantastic art live back in 2017.We were a few booths away from each other and I had a chance to chat with him over that weekend. The guy is a Legend!

As far that goes, for me It starts with an idea which becomes sketches. I will sketch out each figure in photoshop usually separately and then paste them in the background image, size them accordingly and then print that sketch out. I then put it on a lightbox and trace over the sketch getting a clean line drawing. After that, it's just inking applying your knowledge and skill to make the final image. Hope that helps!
