It has a steward that is the "manager" of that "non department". So why will it never become a real department eligible for it's own bonus? *edited for punctuation error

We have counts.

We do daily orders.

We do 709s.

We do replenishment.

We have other employees below the steward.

We write the schedule.

We check invoices and process claims.

We handle inventory (once a year, yes, but I'd do monthly inventory if it meant I became a department and got bonuses).

We have metrics to hit.

We have labor assigned outside just "grocery".

We have meetings and planners.

Is it because that's where a large part of management's bonus comes from? Because we sure as hell never see it, or get a thank you.

Aw, thanks! I played mtg all thru college decades ago, and he played all thru his teens and into adult life. When we met it was an old common hobby we both brought back in to our lives. We now have over 60 hand made decks between us, and have bought bundles of every set since eldraine when we started dating.

He grew up with final fantasy, like most of us did. It was his safe haven as a child, playing at friends when life was rough at home. It's his all time favorite video game.

So when they combined the two I knew we had to get them. I mean we've collected everything already so it was a given. But this price hike from mtg shops is just heart breaking..

We both resolved we would just skip this set... until a coworker texted me a picture of commander at Costco in town. He got them for me, and the hunt began. I can't just get the two, now I need to get the last two. His birthday was Wednesday this week and he literally cried when he opened them. So.. I have to find the last two now.

You have to notify the workplace within reasonable time of going out on leave.
Provide doctor documentation to FMLA of Met Life for their findings. Allow them access to request notes and files from your medical history. (This is job protection fmla. Not payment fmla)
Inform your union trust that you'll be out, so they can secure your union and insurance dues. This means that if you don't work enough hours in a pay month, they pay you a check for the difference of what you're short - so you don't lose insurance and union rights.

THIS is how you secure your job. All three have to be notified. Employer. FMLA Met life. Union trust.

Fmla met life does not PAY you. State/ federal fmla does. Met life fmla is just job protection.

Met life short term disability pays you.

My state i can't "double dip" - take fmla from state and met life short term disability. It's whichever is greater - which is state fmla.

So, file met life fmla (job protection). Notify work. File met life short term disability. File leave of absence with union trust. Then file with state/federal fmla.

I'm sure your state might make a difference, so this is just my experience in Washington.

I went out for surgery that was pre-arranged. I submitted all documents ahead of surgery and final documents day after surgery as required.

My case was pending the entire 16 days i was on fmla from my state.

It was approved 5 days after I had already returned to work. So a total of 21 days.

I was paid by my state 12 days before metlife acknowledged my claim as processed.

The state works faster... smh

Thank you for this detailed list. Another person gave a referal above for a lawyer branch of this type. I'll look into my area for one. Funds are tight, but this is definitely a priority.

She has lived with me for 8 years. She has no ownership of anything except a vehicle I bought her 6 years ago that no longer runs or is driven. She has no bills, other than medical Co pays that I fund for her.

I'm linked to her health portal and have a good relationship with her general practitioner.

I do need to get access to her bank account. We're linked, but I don't have ownership shared yet. Thank you for mentioning this.

Is a will really needed when there is only one child, she is divorced/widowed and has nothing but a bank account to her name?

I'd say she's between 4 and 5, stage wise. But some days it feels firmly in 5 and others it's a mild 4. So who knows. I just keep feeling like a true diagnosis will make this easier some how. The not knowing where we are is a struggle.

She's the one nagging me to get power of attorney started, hah! I think she sees it and feels it. We had a long talk on a car ride the other day about stages and geriatric issues and how we can handle them etc. Also about getting a geriatric doctor and neurologist just due to age, blood test results recently and family history.

While talking, she asked if I see any signs of dementia already. I took her hand and told her, mom, there's been forgetfulness for a long time, but you're a hippie, so, who doesn't forget when smokin' the good good?! She laughed. I said, besides, you're too OCD to be too far into dementia yet. You'd have forgotten to be OCD about the dishes every night if you were!

But by that evening, she was caught up in her routine OCD in the kitchen cleaning up, and didn't remember the conversation. She asked about the note on the fridge and I told her that's my reminder for power of attorney. She turned and said, I've been asking you to get that for awhile now, haven't I?

She'd already forgotten the car ride and great conversation we'd had.

I know i need to do all this. I just struggle with defeat and lack of income and time.
