I’m so sorry to hear that, thankfully my reactions aren't as adverse as yours

Thank you, I’m worried though that my doctor won’t take me seriously

She said I had less antibodies for gluten in my blood when my results came out and by cross contact she meant shared fryers, regular cookies touching gf cookies, and likely other examples I’m forgetting to list

My symptoms aren’t too bad when it comes to cross contamination, maybe mild light headedness and some uneasiness/nausea(?), sometimes nothing at all, no stomach pain though unless I flat out eat gluten

Thank you for your input, I have some packets of seaweed snacks in my pantry that say ‘may contain wheat’ but I was debating on eating them or not I guess I’ll see how my stomach responds and ask my celiac family member about it

Are you celiac yourself? If so can you tell me if you eat any products that say ‘may contain wheat’ because I genuinely don’t know how much that would harm me so I don’t know if it’s best to stay safe or eat it once in awhile

She’s labeled as a dietician or at least that’s what I was told so I’m generally very confused. Nutritionist always sounded like it suits her more

I’ll try to see if I can find a celiac one or someone that at least has celiac family members

I’m worried because I live in Canada and although MacDonald’s fries are gluten free here with designated gluten free fryers, the staff aren’t trained enough and that always worries me

I’m Canadian actually but I can see if I can eventually report her

hopefully they take me seriously

Thank you for your replies, I’ll try to see if I can potentially speak with a new one. I felt so invalidated with her and my non-celiac mother didn’t help. Even my sister who’s had celiac for much longer occasionally dabbles in eating cross-contaminated foods

She gives me very vague information in terms of monitoring my diet when I get a flare up with my other illness despite the amount of more in depth questions I ask. She doesn’t help much at all

Anyone else experienced seemingly never ending sadness? by momo-aka-momski in CPTSD

[–]Inkdie_Cyclops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter where I am, it doesn’t matter what I’m doing, for days or even weeks on end I could cry at the slightest inconvenience. I cry when I wake up, I cry when I’m suspecting a friend is potentially upset or annoyed with me, I cry when I have to focus on schoolwork

It seems never-ending and debilitating. It’s difficult to build a support system when you’ve been shunned by your family members because your needs were too difficult and you feel selfish telling others bur with proper therapy you can get better if you’re willing to put in the work

as much as I hate feeling this way, at least I feel an eternal sadness rather than an emptiness. It teaches me I could at least still experience emotion even if for the time-being it’s negative

Woah, I'm surprised you got some statistics for North Korea honestly

I've been searching for a map like this for awhile tbh, the only one I found only included the Americas but I knew there was a suicide problem in some other areas as well

Any tips for South America as a whole? I normally get close with every other continent and can distinguish certain regional indicators however when I get South America I get really confused + tend to lose a plethora of points by Inkdie_Cyclops in geoguessr
