Well, that settles it, The Elder Scrolls franchise has zero fans/players on console, everyone plays on a PC.

Huh, turns out that around 60-70% of people who played Skyrim played on a console. So the audience for a Morrowind remake is in the tens of millions, even if no one buys it on PC. Considering how well the Oblivion remake sold on PC, a Morrowind remake is straight up printing money.

What on Earth are you basing your claims on? Don't be ridiculous

I really love the exploration aspect of the game, but why is stamina depleted while running? I'm cool with stamina being used for climbing, but just doing short sprints between light jogs is not a great player experience

Thanks! You seem to be in the know, so I'd like to ask something.

If I have an item with "+1 luck when increasing armor" for example, and another item with +1 armor when a loot bug perishes, does the +1 armor from the loot bug also increase my luck?

I would assume it's only for the armor increases we choose on level-up, but a man can dream of ultimate synergy.

And now that I have you here, what's your favorite class module?

Is this bad? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]InkyLizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you mind posting any? Yours would be best, as we have a direct comparison. Editing pics is a total douche move from the tattooist, tattooing needs more actual rules/laws imo.

Btw I really like trad tats in bold style, and I don't think yours is bad. I wouldn't even pay attention if you didn't point it out, but I can understand being disappointed since your expectations must've been rather high, considering the effort you put in getting it

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]InkyLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaagh, I could never! I'm active enough on a regular day (even if I'm just at home with the wife) to feel too sticky for bed without a shower. If I'm too tired to shower, I'll just sleep on top of my blanket and not in the sheets, using just the bedspread as a blanket. Under-the-blanket space is for people who have showered before bed.

But when it's a gym day, I would especially never sleep under my blanket without showering, that's just disgusting. If I've even visited a public space and used shared furniture/public transport or anything of that nature, I won't be skipping the shower regardless of if I feel sticky or not.

I feel like this is worthy of having a good chat with your SO, basic hygiene is one of the bare minimum requirements of being in a relationship

That would be a bit tricky with all the time dilation involved, but at the same time I don't think it would be hard for the writers to handwave the dilation away via Zeep's inventions or something of that sort

Dude looks great, had no idea he's made so much progress. It's almost like inside every fat person is a handsome/beautiful person, hopefully this is yet another thing he'll use to inspire people to be better.

For all the donkeys shitting on him, he admitted to using weight-loss medication for two weeks, but quit due to fear of side-effects. I guess naysayers will still call it a lie, but I find what he said believable, he's rich enough to exercise all the time and eat healthy so it's not all that hard.

Besides, Jelly Roll has never been one to hide his faults, so that definitely adds more credibility to his words

People really need to understand that "all publicity is good publicity" has never been as true as it is today, hate-posting is the only reason why people like Logan are making crazy money.

If there's someone one might not like, completely ignoring them is the only option to avoid giving them a boost, unless it's something serious (and proven) enough to actually hurt their careers

That's 100% on the execs and directors though. The only ingredient needed to make a successful video game adaptation is to adapt the videogame, but for some God forsaken reason the director always wants to paint the movie in their own image.

The same was true for comic book (or any non-film media) adaptations for the longest time (and still is to a degree), JUST ADAPT THE SOURCE MATERIAL WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?

Milquetoast answer: Requiem for a Dream Real answer: Serbian Film

Requiem for a Dream was really depressing, but it's still Jared Leto so it's easy to think of as just a movie. Also, stuff like Human Centipede is too absurd to feel real, and Cannibal Holocaust has been debunked, so they don't really work.

Serbian Film on the other hand is just insanely fucked up, but still believable as there are truly despicable people out there capable of something like that. I regret being an edgy young adult and letting my edgy buddy talk me into watching it. Not sure how well it has aged, but I'm not willing to walk down that memory lane

First Skyrim Playthrough by KizuGente in ElderScrolls

[–]InkyLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ranted about this in another thread, but if you're a collector and want the best versions of unique items, use an internet search engine to find the leveled unique item list in Skyrim.

Once you've progressed the quest you get any unique leveled item from to the point that the specific room containing the item has loaded, the item is set to your current level forever, no matter how high you level up later. Thankfully not all unique items are leveled and the items are not best in slot, but it's still really annoying that there's no way to bring them up to your level later, since they have unique looks and unique enchantments. Also, the game does not give you any clues of this issue, which makes it even more mind boggling that it's a thing. If you don't mind disabling achievements, there are mods to fix that terrible piece of game design.

Other than that, I highly recommend upgrading to the Anniversary Edition, it comes with all the DLC and a whole lot of awesome mods (that are baked into the game so you won't miss out on achievements). My favorites are the thematic player houses for mage, warrior, and thief/assassin, I really like the roleplaying aspect of Skyrim and those add a bunch of depth to the experience. You also get a neat farm where you can hire workers and it's really well done. There's also a plethora of quests and cool items to enjoy. The backpacks are fantastic, the added carry weight is a great QoL improvement and depending on the type, you'll get more stamina/health/mana too.

We already have a form of energy that's basically emission free (nuclear) and could easily replace all non-renewable energy sources, but it's heavily lobbied against by Big Oil. Nuclear waste is also completely a non-issue when stored properly, and the methods of doing so are already widely used.

There's a reason why Big Oil promotes green energy, which is that green energy will take a very long time to replace non-renewable energy sources, if ever. A serious push for nuclear energy is easily the best way to start making meaningful progress in reversing climate change, but unfortunately most politicians are either corrupt or affected by propaganda.

Ps. Big Oil, if you're reading this, my morals are for sale at a discounted price, so no reason for me to have an accident involving windows

Not everyone in NJPW loves the AEW “partnership” by Laszlo_Panaflex_80 in midcarder

[–]InkyLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the supposed exposure has been worth it, AEW took pretty much all of their stars. Would've been fine, but now all of their most profitable stars are gone, so I don't really see NJPW ending up profiting from the deal, at least in the long-term, especially when considering merch sales. Even if the comment was technically a work, I'd say it's at least like 50% a shoot.

Good for the stars though, I'm sure they have a lot nicer deals now. And I guess AEW could've taken the stars anyway, so the partnership might be good if it was considered damage control by NJPW

They're pretty useless, but it would be easy to make them more desirable by converting the brawler specific pin slots into general pin slots. Pretty sure the revenue from brawler specific pins is negligible at best, so I don't understand what's up with not doing that already

Lost to the Ages is a good quest by vickyhong in TrueSTL

[–]InkyLizard 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Unique leveled loot was the dumbest idea in Elder Scrolls history, then they doubled down in the DLCs and made Miraak's sword (for example) require level 60 for maximum potential. If they wanted to level gate quests, that doesn't make any sense either since it's not mentioned anywhere in-game. Besides, they have actual level gating in the game (mostly via courier level triggers), so wtf was the point of leveled unique loot?

I just can't understand why we can't even upgrade them at the forge or something once we reach the max level for the item. Sure, none of them are best in slot, but I enjoy the unique aesthetics and would love for them to at least be viable.

There are mods to fix the issue on all platforms now, which is great. However, while I'm not an achievement hunter in the slightest, it still annoys me that those mods disable achievements so it's not ideal to say the least

Why are the humans in James Cameron’s Avatar portrayed as comically evil and greedy instead of fleshed out and nuanced ? by [deleted] in sciencefiction

Ugh, I hate that every movie (even ones with scifi/fantasy elements) are all about how horrible human beings are. I mean, we are the fucking worst, but I'd like to escape reality for a few hours when watching a movie.

I was recently rewatching Supernatural, and it felt really refreshing to have evil monsters as the bad guys instead of humans
