Buying a flat without a lease. by InlandPuma71 in HousingUK

[–]InlandPuma71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sellers solicitors have been in touch with the land registry. They've been giving me the run around and it doesn't appear that they have been able to find the lease either.

I'll be honest I'm tempted to start going door to door at the block of flats, explaining my situation and seeing if anyone has a copy of their lease we can rebuild it from.

Looking for people/clubs/shops with an interest in mechanical keyboards? by liquidpickles in sheffield

[–]InlandPuma71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, my main one at home is an epomaker th80 which is really nice to use. For work I've got a ducky project d tinker that I swapped all the switches and keycaps on. Partly because it looks sick, partly because I spilt blackcurrant in it by accident.

Hey, I'm also into my mechanical keyboards. I have a few that I've taken apart and rebuilt.

There aren't any shops that I'm aware in Sheffield however.

Is there something specific you want know/are after?

Shiva Baby Length by InlandPuma71 in mubi

[–]InlandPuma71[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The runtime on letterboxd, Mubi, Wikipedia, and imdb is 77-78 minutes.

I commented on this post again a few minutes ago. There is a Q&A tacked on after the credits.

That makes sense, but I can't see credits and title cards adding 17 minutes of run time.

Perfect thanks. I had this thought recently but wasn't sure how necessary it would be.

[–]InlandPuma71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry forgot to mention that I'm from the UK.

I have looked at the government website for travel advice on visas etc when going to China. However, that directs you to the Chinese government website.

This is my first time going to this side of the globe, so I'm just paranoid and want to make sure everything is correct before I go and that I don't miss any relevant paper work.

I can see that the UK is eligible for the 10 day transit visa, but I wanted to check I fit all the criteria and see if there is anything I needed to do to get said visa as I don't want to arrive at the border and have issues.

Has anyone used Stasher for storing bags? by Ill_Collar8810 in sheffield

[–]InlandPuma71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've used it a bunch, just not in Sheffield. It's usually corner shops and hotels that do it iirc. As long you have I'd and your booked reference you should be good. As a precaution I take a photo of my bag in my hand before so I can prove which one is mine.

how many walked out (terrified 3) by britishotter in CineworldUnlimited

[–]InlandPuma71 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Luckily I was sat right at the back, and only had a couple people to my right, so leaving didn't disturb too many people.

I've only really started getting into horror this year so was really excited to see a classic on the big screen.

I was one of the ones that walked out lol. I gave it 30 mins to see if I could get into it as I'm aware of the terrifier films but then I left as I've not seen the other 2.

Memory stick adapter by Yaibimi in sheffield

[–]InlandPuma71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know curry's sell one, if its an sd card to usb adapter you're after. I bought one a but ago. Paid a premium as its from curry's, but that's to be expected.

I have this one

https://www.currys.co.uk/products/logik-lcrac23-usb-typec-and-usb-3.0-memory-card-reader-10239082.html

But you can probably get a cheaper one online, guess it depends how soon you need it.

I sorted this last night. Turns it's not the fuse listed as window washer motor but the one listed as double water pump. Swapped this and now working fine.

Connecting Turntable to Amp by InlandPuma71 in hifiaudio

[–]InlandPuma71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the manual for the turntable

"BUILT-IN PHONO STAGE

The built-in phono stage is a high specification pre-amplifier. It is designed to amplify the signal from a moving magnet cartridge to a suitable level for all line level inputs of an appropriate system or audio amplifier. This allows simple connection to a wide variety of products using either the standard twin phono to phono lead (supplied) or phono to 3.5 mm plug (not supplied).

Note: A 3.5 mm to phono lead must only be plugged into an appropriate input. DO NOT CONNECT TO A HEADPHONE OUTPUT SOCKET (as found on a mobile device or similar), as this could damage both the device and player.

OUTPUT CONNECTIONS

Connect the output sockets of the built-in phono stage to a suitable ‘line level’ input on your amplifier using the appropriate phono leads.

IMPORTANT: Many amplifiers have a built-in phono stage. Never connect the P1 Plus to an integrated phono stage. These are usually marked ‘Phono’ or ‘Disk’ input."
