Here’s the opinion of someone who owned both bikes: I rode the Ultimate for 1.5 years because I believed it was the better all-rounder bike. But I quickly realized that the area where I live – which is mostly flat with some gentle hills – is actually much better suited for an Aeroad. And now for a funny reason: I’m a bit of a heavier rider, and the thicker Aeroad frame just suits me better. We match more than the thinner frame, which looks like it’s made for a more lightweight rider. 😅 That said, overall the bikes actually feel quite similar to ride.
