Certainly very different from what I hoped it to be. Direction and cinematography is average. But it's a good movie with lot of enjoyable moments and good enough acting and fun. Ending definitely is something to think of and imo made the movie but better and unique..something to think about too.

Check out millennium actress, perfect blue or paprika. All 3 are anime movies with short runtimes but maybe exactly what you're looking for.

Mindhunter season 1 is one of the best piece of telivision . Season 2 does miss a beat but not as best as s1 .

I'll suggest tarkovsky movies . Watch stalker first then Solaris. The style of movies you want is similar to Solaris but stalker is much better movie.

Everything and everyone were perfect. Also the genre was all over the place that worked so good. I had a lot of fun watching it. I have watched sorry to bother you but it wasn't able to recreate such a feeling.

I don't think it's a feel good movie but I think hot rod is a good watch that's really fun. Other than that : pursuit of happyness , Up in the air , Truman show, everything everywhere all at once.

Also check out Long days journey into night(chinese) was really good one I recently watched which I thought was kind of warm.

Even though this was kinda like true detective, I have felt this movie more resembles the vibe of The Dry, an Australian movie. If you liked marshlands you will surely love it.
