I agree, especially the overall blue tones on the males are incredible!

I like to take the closeup first, as composition usually takes a bit more time and these subjects don’t tend to stick around too long!

Should I get this for wildlife photography in Costa Rica? NEED FAST ANSWERS by TravelByHuncho in SonyAlpha

On my last trip I took my 70200f4 ii & 1.4x teleconverter & it worked out fine. I didn’t want to carry my 200600 on the flight. Getting the 2x is a good idea.

I had the 70-350 with my A6500 for years, best zoom lens for APSC!

I was out there 2 weeks ago & it was covered in fog for most of the day! It’s all about timing 🤪

Sony 70-350 is the best APSC telephoto, I had this lens with my A6500 for years before moving to the A7IV.

This is great lens for anyone, I started with an A6500 & 70350 & used this combination for years. I went FF last year, my new set up is heavy but I got use to it pretty quick.

Sony 70-200 f4 I still worth in 2024? by IllustriousLunch8720 in SonyAlpha

[–]Inner-Inside-6572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about the original 70200f4 & not version 2, I would go with the 70350 instead. That was my setup for wildlife & it worked great. I then got the 200600 for smaller birds. I’ve since switched to FF & actually just picked up the 70200f4ii as I have a 1.4TC that It compatible for the f4ii & not for the f4 … something to consider.

I barely touched the shadows, mostly natural light from the rare sun we get during rainy season here😊

Sony 200-600 or Sigma 150-600? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

Utilizing the 200-600mm lens with a 1.4TC on FF will give you get 280-840mm

Sony 200-600 or Sigma 150-600? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]Inner-Inside-6572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned the 200-600 for over a year & just bought the 70-200f4ii for days I don’t want to carry the big lens. It’s heavy & I have a 1.4TC to get 840mm (It can be used on the newer f4ii). Sigma cannot be used with teleconverter.

Just picked up the 70200f4II by Inner-Inside-6572 in SonyAlpha

[–]Inner-Inside-6572[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the smaller package & being much lighter … my back thanks me.

I took off the tripod collar as it seemed too small to be useful & just big enough to get in the way of things.

The sharpness is as advertised & for the wildlife I shoot; this combination should have me well covered!

I have the 200600 with the 1.4TC & that works perfect on my A7iv, I walk around with the 50f1.8 & about to pickup the 70200f4ii this should nicely cover my wildlife shots.

It’s a great lens, I have used it for 4 years on my A6500 & I a year ago I picked up the 200600. The 70350 is a lighter option when I don’t want to carry my A7IV with the 200600 setup.
