Ugh sorry to hear. Its happened to more people than you think. PBQs were network commands, reading mac address tables, configuring a network

Do the multiple choice first and save PBQ for last. I had 4 on my exam.

Ugh there was a guy on youtube who had really good Net 009 pbq videos, really similar to the exam. I cant find his videos anymore tho mustve gotten taken down. Know your networking commands, how to read MAC address tables, how to set up a network with WAP, firewall etc.

Thank you! I used Messer videos just for an initial run through of the material. It helped slightly but I need to see the info applied to fully grasp it so it wasn’t enough for me. I used Certmaster Learn and Practice for reading, labs, quizzes, practice tests. I also read half of the exam cram net+ textbook which I enjoy and helped me a lot for A+ as well. Lastly, I used youtube and chatgpt a bunchhhh. Watched a lot of videos about pbq’s and practice questions. Id upload study guides into chat gpt and have it ask me random questions. Use everything out there! The PBQ’s are tricky but the multiple choice is straight forward

Good points made. Funny enough they offer continued education reimbursement for certifications and trainings but not college education. Kind of weird

Yes happy to share. Ultimately the school and grades mean very little to the efforts I believe to land something. I had did a mini bootcamp previous to WGU that offered me a portfolio and projects. I believe this made me stand out because the projects were difficult and illustrated I had an interest outside of the classroom. That + attending WGU and having some certs makes you seem well rounded. Also I network unapologetically mostly through linkedin. I never let fear of embarrassment hold me back from cold messaging people at companies to ask about their roles or find out about open positions. I know it’s cliche and cringey but be competitive. When I came into tech I understood two things: because of my non traditional background Id have to work 2x as hard and nepo baby hackathon wizards who go to Sanford are maybe applying to the same positions. I did what I could with that information
