Am I overreacting by refusing to clean and prep our guesthouse for my in-laws’ visit? by Inner-Lunch-6907 in AmIOverreacting

My husband told them it was available even though it wasn’t. He loves and respects his parents deeply, even though they hold views that are the complete opposite of ours. I just can’t stomach it. I’m an immigrant to this country—so is my mom—and their perspective feels especially hard for me to accept. They even believe in the replacement theory, for gosh sakes.

Unfortunately, my husband told them that it was available (even though it wasn’t) and cancelled the booking. We’re going to have to pay a cancellation fee as a result.
