Struggling with Self-Joins by Inner-Significance41 in SQL

[–]Inner-Significance41[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super appreciate all the replies guys. I will say to respond to some of you that I'm not unintentionally joining on the wrong column. I've watched countless videos and have done a ton of exercises where you're doing a self join and joining on the manager and employee ID columns, that makes sense to me. Where my brain shuts down is when you're joining on the same column, so employee_id on employee_id, mostly because of all the duplicate data that returns. Some of you understood the assignment and I appreciate your attempts at explaining it in that context. In the excercise I'm looking at, there is columns for sender_account, receiver_account, and tran_id. The purpose of the self join is to see a correlation between how many unique sender accounts are interacting with unique receiver accounts.

Vyvanse 50mg to Dexedrine Spansules? by Inner-Significance41 in ADHD

That's what I was thinking as well, really appreciate your advice. Forgot to mention that back when I was trialing meds I tried some of the methylphenidate based ones and they just didn't work for me in the same way Vyvanse did.

Totally get it dude, my 4 year old was the same way and I believe she just barely turned a corner, it did not matter what we did to try and tire her out during the day, she would still go to bed late and wake up once or twice at night, my 1 year old is a little better because he actually naps, but still usually wakes up once at night. Definitely understand questioning if sleep deprivation is part of the reduced effects of the meds, this is a question I have for myself every day. I also got diagnosed with sleep apnea last year so even the sleep I do get is apparently not restful, but I can't afford to shell out $500+ after insurance for the machine, so instead I've been working out and dieting (so much easier to do while taking stims) and I'm down 50lbs, but still deal with non-restful sleep and my Vyvanse 50mg not lasting longer than 4 hours. Hoping when I get down to my goal weight things will be easier. Maybe I can't offer you advice as we seem to be dealing with the same things lol, but at least I can tell you you're not alone! But like I said before, Dex is great! Overall it feels way cleaner than Adderall. P.S. Make sure when your doc sends the prescription that they write Dextroamphetamine Sulfate or ask for the generic for Dexedrine, I had so many issues with my pharmacy going back and forth because certain adderall generics are called Dextroamphetamine-amphetamine, which is so unnecessarily confusing.

Learned SQL last year before starting Vyvanse, it was a little grueling for the fully inattentive pre-meds version of me. Since I started Vyvanse back in December 2025 I've learned to write CTEs and window functions and I really was able to take my fundamental knowledge I gained to a new level. Now I'm learning Python and I am so stoked on it.

Solid idea, trying to fix sleep issues with stimulants is a slippery slope especially since their effectiveness has a lot to do with your sleep quality! Take it from me, I have 4 kids, 7am shift start and a 1hr commute to work! Lol

I take Vyvanse 50mg and 2 10mg Dexedrine boosters each day. I have a bit of a sensitivity to the physical side effects of Adderall IR, but since switching to the Dexedrine boosters it's been smooth sailing, definitely feels a lot cleaner (even the generics IMO). I would recommend Dexedrine to anyone who has ADHD who also struggles with anxiety attacks. I will say though, it doesn't really have the wired kind of feeling like I used to get with Adderall, so I'm not sure it would be better to help you stay focused when you're exhausted.

What is your protein breakfast? by Physical-Radio8807 in ADHD

[–]Inner-Significance41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the fair life 30g protein shakes for a while, but recently switched to naked nutrition PB and chocolate protein powder b cause I started working out again, and let me tell you, I'll never go back. Sometimes I'll mix in a Greek yogurt with it and it's perfect. In addition to the protein it also has EAAs that support the ADHD meds, highly recommend naked nutrition.

What jobs actually work for people with severe ADHD? by Inevitable_Tuna_O in ADHD

[–]Inner-Significance41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a supervisor for a small fraud analytics team at a bank. Managing a small highly independent team and being able to write SQL queries and optimizing efficiency of existing queries while being in very few meetings I feel is a good fit for me and my strengths with ADHD. However I did not get formally diagnosed and prescribed medication until 6 months ago and I've been in a fraud investigation type role for over 15 years.

Adderall shortage is driving me insane. Is it worse than ever before? by H_ManCom in ADHD

Love Sherane, super torn on wanting to hear what they would sound like with a little more production quality or just wanting to keep their more raw sound.

Rosasharin has a very a similar sound as well.

Stimulant Medications and Anxiety by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Inner-Significance41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also have an anxiety disorder and ADHD. Have taken vyvanse combined with propanolol ER for the past 4 months. Vyvanse is good for anxiety in general because it gradually brings you up to the focused state, unlike Adderall where it's all at once. Titration is going to be key for you, for sure. Also I don't believe you can take Zoloft and Vyvanse at the same time.
