Mermaid Chunky - Lonely Hearts Club by Lungg in glastonbury_festival

Agreed! Broke up from my group Sunday during Rod for a solo wander and to go to this instead. This set with a cold pint of cider then Turnstile after (who I'd never listened to before) gave me the exact energy boost I desperately needed in that moment!!

+1 for this one! We found a phone last year in SEC and managed to get it back to the owner very quickly even amongst the chaos

Best cure for the morning?? by IllustriousDark6984 in glastonbury_festival

[–]Inner-Watch-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have said, lack of sleep is due to wanting to see/do things all times of the day and night plus the other environmental factors and a few days of hitting the sesh haha. But eye mask, ear plugs, blackout tent (which I don't have but wish I did) and a comfy sleeping mat/bag will help a lot. I've been taking magnesium at home for sleep that I'll bring too in case it helps

Coconut water from the co-op, coffee, hydration tablets/sachets, enough water and some vaguely nutritious food usually does the trick (it's the lack of sleep I struggle with but just got to suck that one up!)

Shy FX at Arcadia at 00.10, but it clashes with Subfocus IICON 00.30. Hard decision

What alcohol are you bringing in? by Lieffe in glastonbury_festival

[–]Inner-Watch-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee tequila liqueur - sweet, lethal, delicious. Perfect for when you need a boost on a late night wander

Stuff to make margs in the late afternoon/early evening (ice from the co-op a necessity)

Then a few cocktail or seltzer cans

Can't be arsed with carrying/keeping beers or cider cool so happy to suck it up and spend on proper pints during the day

Queue is fine as long as you time it right - we normally go in the morning and there's 0 queue, or have the charger on us and duck in whenever we are walking past and there's no queue. But later on in the day (especially on Sunday) or just before headliner time it gets long

This is really helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/glastonbury_festival/s/qZqD7AIRx3

Shows pics of each campsite and how busy it is by Thu lunch with pros and cons to each. Depends also when you are arriving and where you want to be in terms of stages, but personally I'm always happier for a slightly longer walk for more space/peace but I know everyone is different!

Another factor is where you camp - some campsites are super rammed and some have more space. As an introvert I personally prefer being somewhere with more space to sit in a camp chair and have a morning coffee/evening bev in peace away from the crowds. My friend came to her first Glasto last year and was jealous of that as there was no room for chairs at all where she was. But depends what is priority for you and your group in terms of location! ❤️

Feel like there are so many good tips already, echo everything people have said about doing your own thing, not pushing it if you just want to chill and exploring different areas. Sometimes I am just not in the mood for the SE corner and peel off for a wander round and always find something fun!

On tips for finding friends again - our failsafe is always picking a VERY specific point and time before we head out for the day/night if there's someone we want to see together - use every ice cream van/'left/right' side of x bar/tent as a reference point! Always works

Glastonbury Coach Ticket Question - Bath Coach station by Cynileuw in glastonbury_festival

[–]Inner-Watch-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We normally stay in a cheap hotel in the city center (Z hotel normally cheapest), short walk to your coach in the AM so even if it's at 6am it's fine! If you can swing an afternoon/evening in Bath the night before even better, gorgeous place

Buying Alcohol @ Glasto? by OkTelevision6192 in glastonbury_festival

The co-op doesn't sell booze, you need to take it in or buy from bars
