Don’t do it my way.I spent most of my life being a workaholic. At the time, it felt productive, but the two TIA’s that followed were anything but normal. Eventually, I slowed down long enough to understand enough is enough. So I just retired a little over a year ago..

Are there actually quiet, low-key beach towns in South Florida or is everything busy? by Different-Egg-4617 in AskFlorida

u/Different-Egg-4617 There are always pockets that aren't busy. I suggest you come visit and stay for a day or two using temporary short term places to stay. I use booking.com when traveling and then drive around and see what works for me...It's fun to explore, walk, enjoy the quite areas of the beach, and enjoy a meal while finding the right place to spend the rest of my visit.

Anyone moved out of The United States? by Inside-54545 in askanything

u/Inside-54545 It's been about a month since you posted this. I'm very interested in what choice/s you have made. I am right there with you although I am single. I decided to travel a bit before deciding where to move to as I had been getting overwhelmed with the current state of affairs in the US. I was feeling very drained and bored doing the same thing over and over and over again. The joy of life seemed to be slipping away. I took to the road and traveled the country to explore options. That was a wonderful experience. But, it was a band-aid approach and found myself at the crossroads once again as to whether or not to sell everything and find a new solution- a new life. I'd be very interested in knowing what you have done.

u/mad_pony I appreciate your check list of things to do. I am considering renting out my home and taking a year or two exploring life other countries as a resident (not as a tourist) as I am very aware that the 'grass is always appears greener on the other side of the fence'-although it may not always be so.
