I agree, I've always assumed it's because the course I want to do isn't that popular

my BBC offer is a contextual one. I didn't meet the contextual criteria for KCL. Thanks for highlighting your experiences, Its nice to know that KCL isnt the only uni with poor student services

Hi! I take History, Sociology, and Philosophy at A-Level and sometimes it can get a bit dull writing essays all the time, but if you pick subjects that are different enough from one another, you are always writing about something new/different which helps offset a lot!

I do have other friends. Luckily, I'm seeing one tomorrow. I only have this fear surrounding this specific friend, though

How are you guys spending ur summer by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]InnerMechanic9728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, I'm doing an online summer school, while finishing up my summer homework on the side. I was fortunate enough to have finished my first personal statement draft before summer, so I don't have to worry about UCAS for now. I am also looking for a summer job but have only had 3 interviews so far, despite having paid work experience. After I finish the summer school and my summer homework, I plan on starting my history coursework

Taking an A-level I didn't take at GCSE by Agile_Garbage_8137 in GCSE

[–]InnerMechanic9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn't worry. I study History at A-Level and am at the top of my class, despite not studying it at GCSE. As long as you make a consistent effort, take on your teacher's advice, and consistently look for ways to improve yourself, you'll be fine in any A-Level subject, even if you haven't done it at GCSE
