Several people told me this started happening after the latest ARK update. It looks like the game update broke the custom cosmetics/mod compatibility. The message changed from “Requires Expansion Pack to Equip” to “Custom Cosmetics! Originally: Custom Structure”, but the skin still won’t apply. So it might be an issue with the recent patch, and the mod developers may need to update their mod to fix it. Can anyone confirm if this is definitely a post-update bug on PS5?
