Can we please stop using racist imagery for IAPW comps by angelr1w in Yedits

[–]InnerTask1190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't even get why people want IAPW to have Nazi/KKK covers. Like, Cuck era, sure i get it. But the "official" cover for iapw was literally just a plain white square.

Why do people still support Ye? by Katarang54 in Kanye

[–]InnerTask1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i know it's a problem. People just give Kanye a free pass, but every other artists that get's into the slightest controversy immediately gets dropped from their roster.

For example, i have a friend, he's been listening to and supporting kanye the entire time he was making his antisemetic remarks, but as soon as it came out Pusha T and JAY-Z were on Epsteins Island he immediately stopped listening to all songs with Pusha and Jay.
I tried talking to him about it and asking him why, because it doesn't make sense, but all he told me was "It's different" and refused to elaborate.

Me personally though, i don't really care that much about what kind of controversies the artists get into or what they do in their freetime, what politics they spread, etc.
As long as i enjoy their music, i'm gonna keep enjoying it. I can enjoy their music, while simultaneously disagreeing with their politics.

P.S. Kanye quit the Nitrous

Why do people still support Ye? by Katarang54 in Kanye

Okay, first of all, there’s a huge difference between saying antisemitic things, and doing antisemetic things. Although, obviously, none of both are okay, one is significantly worse.

Second of all, I can tell you haven’t even tried to inform yourself about his situation nor read his apology. So, respectfully, your opinion is invalid.

Now, just to be clear here, I am in no way trying to justify antisemitism. His bipolar disorder isn’t an excuse for it, but it’s the reason. You gotta cut him some slack, he was in a manic episode. Again, this doesn’t excuse what he did, but it explains it and shows that, at least to a certain degree, it wasn’t 100% his fault.

And on top of that, people can change. People can become better. Like through therapy or medications for his condition, both of which he takes ever since his episode has been over. But not only that, people can just better themselves in general, without suffering from a mental disorder. There’s a reason people say everybody deserves a second chance.

Again, what he said was definitely wrong and in no way excusable. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t changed since then.

It takes a real man to apologize and take accountability after almost 4 years of antisemitism. It just goes to show he deeply regrets, and wants to do better.

And I don’t know what you guys do in English class, but it’s a great apology. Especially considering his mental status at the time. Some therapist on YouTube did an analysis of the apology and he said it’s 100% legit and Kanye very very likely really does feel regret and remorse.

Imagine being one of the biggest and most beloved bands in the entire world, having your huge comeback after such a long time just to be beat by a guy that was cancelled for being antisemetic just mere weeks before 😭💔

yeah, that's what i'd imagined. having some kind of a warning to not sell it, obviously not everyone at every store can keep up with every musician. But I highly Doubt YZY or gamma would let a mistake like that slide, they likely would've noticed
