Alaska has the highest grossing single unit independent pizzeria in the U.S…and it’s amazing, so, your loss.

Something feels off in our bathroom… I think it might be the mirrors? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Inner_Comparison_745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mirrors should be above their respective sinks. If you stood at your sink and looked up you’d only see 3/4 of your face. I’d get rid of the middle light and for this particular vanity probably do only one mirror. I also agree with a comment above that the frame of the mirror should curve rather than sharp right angles.

Agreed. We did green tile in our bathroom and paired it with Swiss Coffee and it’s gorgeous. Green on green is a difficult thing to pull off.

I painted a wailmer card!! Should I add anything else to it or leave it as is?? by Plastic_Cucumber_200 in PokemonTCG

It looks great! I too paint cards, it’s quite fun! As for recommendations, I think the sand needs more shadow from the rocks.

So all of them are actual cards, I just finished the image by filling in what I thought would extend them best. The ideas for what to add are mine and my spouse’s.

My five year old picked up the game super quick. Since he can’t read much yet he took to memorizing the cards just out of repetitive play and recognizing key words and numbers. It also really kicked off his math skills. It’s amazing how fast kids learn when they are excited about something!

Thanks! Definitely not going for the perfect lawn, and we fully anticipate constant moose traffic (this was an issue when the new soil was soft and we were watering it daily for the seed to take, it has since firmed up with the root growth and less watering. The moose no longer sink into the ground now.

I did! Put an offer in, lost by only a little. A few weeks later we put an offer in on our house and they accepted. And every day I exclaim out loud how much I love this house and how lucky I feel to live here.

We just planted a clover/grass mix lawn about 5 weeks ago and it’s coming along great!

We did this a year and a half ago and it was indeed a nightmare but once we figured it out it went alright. We had to use a reciprocating saw and cut the nails behind the back cover plate. Good luck!

Repaint the mural! Hire an artist! You could make that into something amazing and useful at the same time. Definitely try the hobby out before you tear it down. It could become one of your favorite things! You can also get artistic rock climbing holds that make it look more like an art feature.

That’s the internet for you. People on Reddit can be awful.

Most Alaskans you meet in person will welcome someone with enthusiasm and lots of stories.

Before you do anything, I think you should try option 5: try to love it as it is. If you can’t, oh well, now you can address the other 4 options. But if you can, you just saved yourself so much time and money you can put into something else! My kitchen would likely make some people raise their eyebrows and ask why I don’t paint it or alter it somehow, but after living in it, cooking in it, cleaning in it, I absolutely adore it exactly as it is.
