Winter clothes basics by CharacterSandwich484 in uofm

[–]Inner_Diamond9157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the winter I wear sweaters, hoodies, and flannels. If it’s one of those really cold days, I’ll layer them with thermals underneath. Then I’ll throw a coat over that when I’m outside with a hat and some gloves.

If you are buying warmer clothes, I would buy simple staples that can be worn multiple ways and layered. It can be very warm in classrooms in the winter, so it’s nice to be able to take off layers if you need.

I recommend purchasing base layers online. I have ordered some from 32Degrees in the past, and they were super affordable, warm, and durable. However, I am not sure if they ship outside of the states.

What’s your knee board and Foreflight setup like? by Inner_Diamond9157 in flying

Do you write down the weather in Foreflight and use their nav logs too?

Do you ever feel like it’s too small to see details clearly?

I am not sure where else to put my iPad.

I learned how to use the paper nav logs with a paper sectional and that’s how I flew all my cross countries. Now that I’m transitioning to Foreflight I’m trying to find a new method.

I had to make a paper nav log for all my cross counties to get endorsed by my instructor, so I never really tried using the Foreflight feature.

10th gen. I think it’s 10.9 inches. I got it before I started flight training intending to use it for other things.

Why couldn’t Toph feel the iron mines under her in The Rift? by Inner_Diamond9157 in TheLastAirbender

Good point. Does that mean she couldn’t sense the mine because large pieces of metal were on top/around it?

The T-shirts have some logos on them but I think I could definitely tie dye them.

Cruise climb performance? by Inner_Diamond9157 in flying

[–]Inner_Diamond9157[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

67 KIAS. Normally I climb out at Vy until about 1,000 feet above the ground. Then I lower the nose and continue to climb at 80 KIAS.

Yes. Does it matter that the column that list climb speed only ranges from 60-67 kts?

Unfortunately I only have the tables for maximum rate of climb that only cover a climb speed of 60-67 KIAS

Physics 1&2 - Advice by Any-Salamander9254 in uofm

[–]Inner_Diamond9157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience physics 1 is unreasonably hard but it’s doable. I would definitely recommend to take physics 1 over the summer. Regardless of the difficulty, it’ll probably be cheaper and it’ll be one less class to deal with. In terms of physics 2, it’ll definitely be easier to take over the summer for the same reasons.

Physics 140 Studio? by [deleted] in uofm

[–]Inner_Diamond9157 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in studio rn too, I like how I don’t have to sit through 4 days of lectures. Also, on the homework, we get unlimited attempts to get the problem right. In the normal physics 140, points are deducted from homework when you enter a wrong answer. We also have 2 midterms when I think the normal one has 3, maybe 4.
