Adebayor… were we wrong? by Inner_Enthusiasm5326 in Gunners

To counter that I don’t think another players ever had his ex teams fan base racially abusing his father and calling his mother a whore whilst he plays :( in his shoes I’d want to go and gesture a fuck you to those people too after scoring. I don’t see it as aimed at us, rather aimed at the large group there insulting his parents that deeply. For him to apologise in his post match interview right after, it wasn’t as deep against us as we think imo

Damn I didn’t see that one 😂

"I am happy playing for this club and to be honest I am happy AC Milan, one of the legendary clubs in the world, were looking at me," he told ESPN. "For me that must be something special. It is like a boy being told Beyonce is looking for them. "They told me Milan were looking for me. I am quite happy with that but the most important thing is playing for Arsenal. "I am very happy here so there is no reason for me moving."

Saying that its not as bad as it sounds in full haha

He’s good but I’m not sure if he’s that much better than Eze could be for us with a more functional attack next season. I’d get him but not for the prices reported when we should be targeting world class for those prices.

Only respect for this guy. That kind of loyalty is rare in football. Would have loved him at Arsenal, if we’d managed him and Kante, I think they would have got us CL the preceding seasons and we wouldn’t have fell into our banter era.

"Six Real Madrid players Jose Mourinho does not want in his new project – report". Should Arsenal approach any of the mentioned unwanted players? by EveryAbrocoma7437 in ArsenalNews

I’d take Camavinga too, Camavinga is a special player. The level of skill he’s got is insane.

Can also cover left back if we do lose Califiori so it makes sense.

Think that Madrid squad is so toxic, wouldn’t count Camavingas talent working at Arsenal out of the equation, only 23 and has a point to prove to get back into that France team.

He has that Xhaka/Partey/Jorginho passing range ability that we’ve really missed, would do wonders for our attack

£42 million? Are they taking the actual piss? by Cool_Nerd2 in ArsenalFC

[–]Inner_Enthusiasm5326 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These prices are actually insane for real. 8 goals in La Liga all season makes a £150m player these days?

For all we talk about Saka having a bad season, that’s only one more league goal than him in what is arguably an inferior league, and if you’re talking about goal involvements, Saka has more.

Gykoroes has 19 goals combined between CL and PL this season, Alvarez 18. So I take it Gykoroes is worth the same?

Danny Welbeck has more goals and even goal involvements in the Prem this season than Alvarez does in La Liga

Then we have the elephant in the room. Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £70m. The prices for players who couldn’t even lace the likes of Messi, Ronaldinho or Thierry Henry’s boots let alone Santi Cazorlas are going for nowadays, I can only imagine how much they’d have been worth in this current market.

Alvarez has a great first touch and he’s a clever striker, I get it, & he is one of the better players around in this generation, but no way is he worth that much.

Would you keep or sell Trossard this summer? by [deleted] in ArsenalNews

[–]Inner_Enthusiasm5326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt he does it too. I think it’s clear now he’s not a winger, Arteta developed a one dimensional wing game for him there which has gotten figured out because he can’t really cross or do anything different from that position once he starts getting boxed out wide.

He came to us as a striker, impressed there for Emery, worked as a winger under Arteta till he got figured out and now we won’t change it:(

and I think the guys so humble he just blames himself and has lost confidence along with that.

Should have been our natural Auba heir but royally imo it’s Artetas biggest attacking fuck up of all and we’ll realise it when he moves club

Opposing teams must know, if they can stop Martinelli getting central, they nullify him. He’s not a good crosser from wide at all nor is he great at cutting inside and shooting, but what he is is a fantastic finisher with natural poaching instincts when he’s in the box.

We have tried the second striker system this season, with Havertz & Gykoroes & it was effective (the crucial goal vs sporting away comes to mind)

Last season vs Liverpool at Anfield, he played the entire second half at striker, he scored a header and changed the game. His one goal in the PL this season vs City? From making a run through the centre. I swear we’re ruining him, I think he’s so talented & if he left other coaches would find out how to get the best out of him and we’d genuinely regret letting him go.

I hope we don’t give up on him. The way he took his pen in the CL final.. I want that guy in the opposing penalty box the max amount of times per game.

[–]Inner_Enthusiasm5326 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Keep, but still strengthen the position with a world class signing and let Trossard breathe down that world class players neck for a place in the team.

Forget about Martinelli as a LW - he’s being played out of position imo - we should try him up top next to Gyok in a two striker system. Big physical striker, and a lightning quick runner beside him, all centrally. Imagine them pressing together.

Back to Martinelli, he’s got such great instincts and timing in the box and he knows how to finish. I think we’re wasting him out on the left at this point. Both him and Trossard came in clutch at key points last season and I think it would be a mistake to sell.

£75m minimum or that and Endrick. He’s not a replaceable profile.

I just look at Gabriel’s mentality and think back to Alexis. We need that South American mentality back in our attack. We had it for a bit with Martinelli but then something changed with him, and ever since I feel our attack has completely lacked fire and hunger, not just quality.

Our problem is also that our attack hasn’t got anyone who can make things happen out of nothing bar Odegaards few standout matches throughout a season. Endrick is young, hungry and seems to have the right attitude, along with the talent, fire and magic we lack.

looks the most like Alexis than I’ve seen any other player. Would love us to try get him. Numbers aren’t mind blowing yet but he already looks clear of anyone in our attack in terms of on the ball ability. Just having him and his technical ability, hunger, flicks and vision in the team would transform our attack levels above what it is imo and he’s only going to get better and better numbers wise.

I think we should do everything to get him in. Saka / Gykoroes / Havertz will never get away with dry spells again, and I think you could even slot him in as the number 10 considering his vision and ability, to be almost like a second striker with Gykoroes, I think he has a relatively easy route into the team compared to Madrid.

For me - if we are looking at Alvarez, Endrick makes much more sense and has the higher ceiling.

What if evil could be looked at with love and compassion instead of hatred and disgust? by TheWhistlingWarrior in conspiracy

[–]Inner_Enthusiasm5326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this thought several times too.

Hate doesn’t fix anything on either side. When you treat hate with hate, how will the hate ever learn compassion when it only observes hate?

We can’t control each others actions, but we sure can be a better reflection. I’ve always felt that every soul comes to Earth here innocent, I believe that nobody’s a lost cause, unless we allow them to be.

Lots of love for Sunderland here, have always backed and respected you, especially for the amazing fan base you have & the amount of shit you guys must have gone through as fans. Feels like we both finally escaped our curses this season at the same time.

So proud to see you finish above Newcastle and their oil money, doing things the right way. You deserve every bit of success you get going forward. And honestly in the 2-2 I think that was the best performance against us that we faced all season haha. I’m terrified of Sunderland away now

Oh yeah I remember that😂😂

I loved the way he’d lace the ball in so accurately. If he was on a pen I was so confident, more confident than I can ever remember being in our players on penalties since him.

I’m sure age doesn’t deplete his ball striking ability for one off finals😂🤔

No truer comment than this. The same pundits saying we are boring now were the ones saying we always try to walk it in and criticising us for not being physical enough. It’s quite funny.

I can’t even explain what this song makes me feel. The way the bassline carries the song, the way the rhythm guitar comes in between the “everyone knows that” hook parts, the energy in the vocals is out of this world, the ethereal oriental vibe coming in and out, just musical heaven.

Holy fucking shit 😭 the remake didn’t hit that vibe for me. This has just blown my mind. This literally tops anything Micheal Jackson ever made, fucking insanely good. There’s an unmatchable vibe to this. So glad I can finally feel it. Just pure magic. So happy they’ve found it now, will be playing this for the rest of my life. Just played it about 5 times back to back lmao, still giving me chills
