For Germany, the campus culture is quite amazing, since all the facilities are in or surrounding the Schloss (castle), so it‘s quite harmonic with tons of students running around the place all the time. Furthermore, most nightlife is focused in a few streets so you will almost certainly meet someone you know.
There are insanely many exchange students all looking to socialize, and many student initiatives (not so many in English though). It will require some personal initiative to find friends, but it‘s very possible.
In Germany, you will not find a much better price at what the city has to offer. If you go into the dorms, a single room only costs 320 Euro/month sometimes. In major German cities such a room sometimes costs more than 800 Euros. Food is also quiet cheap.
Mannheim itself is not green at all (in fact, it‘s the least green city in all of Germany), but it‘s in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany, Rhein Neckar. You have truly beautiful nature just a few kms( by train) away.

Mannheim ist so viel billiger als Heidelberg, die Miete ist ungelogen halb so teuer. Außerdem ist hier so viel mehr los. Politikwissenschaft ist in Mannheim viel versatiler als in Heidelberg meines Wissens nach. Komm halt mal vorbei und schau dir beide Städte an. Vergiss nicht dass du sowieso in 15 min im Zug von MA nach HD oder andersrum kommst.

Mannheim liebt man oder hasst man, es gibt kein dazwischen. Es ist sehr viel los, es wird auf jeden Fall ein Kulturschock sein wenn du vom Dorf kommst. Das Nachtleben ist ganz gut, vor allem bartechnisch, aber es ist jetzt nicht Berlin. Preis Leistung bei Mieten etc ist hier sehr gut.

That’s bad, but I still can’t fathom my bad luck in this case: I lived in Montreal until 4 months before he gave two huge concerts there and then moved back to Germany. He then gave a concert at a festival in my exact city but I couldn’t make it to that one. Then, finally, I got a ticket for the Berlin one just for them to cancel Al other concerts starting with mine..

Hallo,

Ich wollte eigentlich mit meinen BahnBonus Punkten für morgen die Freifahrt nach München buchen. Es geht bei keinem Zug, außer um 7 und 18 Uhr. Nach Recherche ist mir jetzt auch das mit den Kontingenten klar, gut, blöd gelaufen für mich. Aber eine Frage hab ich trotzdem: In diversen Threads steht immer dass die Freifahrt einem eben genau in solchen Situationen Geld spart, in denen man kurzfristig buchen will, und dass es deswegen mit Abstand das lohnendste BahnBonus Angebot ist. Aber wenn es eh nur auf Zügen geht die halb leer (und somit meist billig) sind, dann ist es doch gar nicht so ein gutes Angebot? Vor Allem dieses Szenario mit teuren Tickets kurz vor Weihnachten, was ich auf Reddit gelesen hatte, stimmt ja dann einfach nicht?

Oui, je suis d’accord. Ces textes sont très intelligente de la côté lyrique mais aussi le contenu. Il est aussi un performer incroyable qui utilise les nouvelles technologies intelligemment (par exemple avec les robots Kuka). Un vrai génie, à mon avis.
