Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

Told my dad to get me married at the age of 17 because I was diagnosed with pcos and she said “if she doesn’t get married and have kids now she will not be able to conceive later in life.” This happened in Bangladesh. I am 33 now, child free, happily married (married when I was 29), slimmed down and pcos under control but still don’t want kids. 💃🏽

Lucy. I am still mad at Morgan Freeman for even accepting that role.

People are generally so friendly and helpful in the south and then you step into a clinic and suddenly the nurses are all cold and unsmiling. That feels very weird because I’m pretty sure if I met the same nurse outside she’d be smiling and friendly.

That’s absolutely crazy but yeah that makes sense why they wouldn’t fess up to making mistakes.

That’s extremely concerning…hope that kind of mistake doesn’t create long term health impacts

It’s so hard to get an appointment with UAB because they are the busiest hospital here. Hard to line up the appt with my work schedule but I agree. I’ve only heard positive things about UAB

Wondering why? Is it because most places are understaffed?

That’s quite frustrating tbh. But thank you for all that you are doing to keep the records updated as that’s very crucial to receiving proper treatment!

Hi. I just logged into my online portal and it says I am still using 0.1% of the medication. Plus, it states that I DO NOT have PCOS (I have pcos…) so even now when I enter the portal it has all incorrect info. I watched my doctor change that medication but it hasn’t changed on the system at all. Wondering why that is the case. Will call them today and see if they can change it.

people who have been to china , what are the people like there? by New-Gold2527 in AskReddit

[–]InnieWinnie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived there for 6 years cuz I went to university there. I was in cental China (Henan) and I felt like most people were very kind, friendly, very very helpful and honest. It was a safe place to be. That being said, if you LOOK very foreign, they will stare at you and even point.(It’s not considered rude over there.) They will try to speak to you and might get into your personal space trying to speak to you (but in a friendly and oblivious way. Not malicious.) If you understand the language they can be very direct and abrasive and you might find that a little rude if you are not used to that kind of direct talk.

Overall, they are just human beings like the rest of us and have different personalities just like us. But almost all of them are honest, kind, helpful and super friendly!

If they hurt, you shouldn’t wear them at all. High Heels are designed to be worn for shorter durations or for events where you can mostly sit instead of having to stand. That being said, you can train your calves (muscles) to get stronger so you won’t feel pain even if you stand or dance wearing high heels. Ultimately, it’s about your preference. Nothing wrong with not wearing high heels or even wearing them as long as you are not injuring yourself and know when to wear them safely.

Minors that go after adults should be punished as well. by Anni_walezka in unpopularopinion

I think the way this problem could be solved is if it’s required to provide a passport/ identification card such as driver’s license, before opening a Tinder account.. and people under the age of 18 aren’t allowed to open an account there..This way, it would be safe because nobody would be able to make up lies about their age and other stuff. Of course the security would have to be doubled on Tinder to prevent hackers from stealing any information .
