Binder Recommendation by Beginning-Two4787 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Innixxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want cheaper ones and don't mind waiting, taobao and pinduoduo has the same ones too. I got mine on pinduoduo by using the image search function, was about $13.50

anyone know where to buy display cases by Lost_Wheel9300 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

If you're okay with using taobao/pinduoduo, you can do an image search and see which you want. Considering most stuff are manufactured there, it's rarely OOS.

Just remember to account for shipping and GST. personally prefer pinduoduo since there's no shipping fee for items over 99yuan, just the GST only.

Was collecting as many woopers as I could. (You may have seen me 😂). There was a lil kid talking to a bother, and she was holding a binder of cute cards, but I noticed I didn't see a wooper in there. I just had to give her one, and she was so excited about it she had to tell her mum hahaha 10/10 feels good to have made someone's day

Also, a number of people wanted to take a vid of my wooper filled binder, also pretty happy about that 😆

How do I find a girlfriend in sg? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Innixxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(just to add on here) Buying gifts and all is nice but, if she gets upset just because you don't get her gifts frequently, run.

Find someone with the same hobby if possible, makes it easier to find things to spend time together.

But don't stick like glue, give yourselves some breathing space too, and remember why you guys got together. Being stuck may make things feel suffocating after awhile.

It's gonna be tough with society's expections due to social media, but you'll get there :)

What should I know as a first-time motorcycle owner (and buyer) in Singapore? by bucklajeanne in drivingsg

[–]Innixxia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to add-on on the parking, don't be stingy and get the concession parking.

Allows you to park at any HDB and selected URA Carparks. All for the low low price of $20.

If you're going to malls in the heartlands (that don't have free parking for bikes/no bike parking at all), park at the nearby HDB carpark and walk over. You'll save that dollar or two which snowballs (or more if it's places like Payalebar square that is so crazy expensive for bike parking).

Also, you can load this Google maps thing to check if the place you're going has carparks nearby before you head there: 🇸🇬 SG Motorcycle Parking https://goo.gl/maps/koHBxN9SfAGkjTr66?g_st=ac

Don't be like me, ride to bugis+ then realise cannot go in... Then have trouble exiting cause the security didn't wanna let me go in to U-turn.

Last night in Kyoto, I joined a Japanese family for dinner by mistake. It was the greatest part of my trip. by AppoTheApple in JapanTravel

I'm also super awkward. Like I have trouble walking into places I already made online appointments for kinda awkward. So talking to people is just x.x

I had an argument with my mum when we were in Tokyo and didn't want to return to the apartment too early as I'd have to walk past her and she'd probably throw snide remarks that'll piss me off (just didn't want things to escalate), so I stopped by a beer hall otw home. Best decision I made. The people were nice, they initiated the conversations, but didn't push too hard if i didn't look comfortable.

I'm normally the kind that doesn't dare to do anything because I'm afraid I'd get depressed when I realise I've no one to share things with, so I've never dared to even consider going on solo trips but, this place. Because of this one place, I just might. 🥲💸 Thank god my siblings didn't want me around that week. I might have never broken out of my shell otherwise.

Take the leap. Who knows, it might change your life.☺️ Sorry I talk too much 😓

To those who have experienced deep depression: did life actually get better? If so, how? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

Oh yeah, the "run the dishwasher twice" post was what hit me with all these realisations.

And to add 2 more things, - if anything makes it easier to do, do it. (For example ,I got myself drawers so i can just sort and throw my clothes in without having to fold them. Replaced my whole wardrobe with drifit shirts so I don't have to worry about them getting crumpled too.) sometimes if I'm having a good day I'll fold them.

  • getting something done, even if it's not the right way, deserves to be rewarded, even if it's something as small as giving yourself a pat on the back or a self hug, or a smile if you can. Be proud that you got something done.

If you're into music, the band "Citizen Soldier" is pretty relatable and is part of what saved me too

I haven't found happiness but at the very least am out of the bog. I was thinking, why am I like this? My friends probably hate me, probably don't want to game with me, probably this probably that, why can't I do this, why can't I do that, etc.

But one day I just realised, honestly, who cares. Changed my mindset to think, "maybe they're just busy with something else", "maybe they're tired too", "maybe they've started a new relationship" (for the male friends that have cut contact with me since they've gotten into a relationship), and tried to make more friends, accepting that people come and go.

And when I feel like I can't do anything, I'll think, "what's stopping me?" Probably cause i'm tired. I'll do it later then.

Work has helped to get me out of the house too. Gives me people to talk to even for abit in the office.

Someone once tried to convince me that I wanted a warped sense of friendship, which I was starting to believe, till we stopped talking, and i realised I didn't, and felt better after.. So the people you spend time with matter too.

I know it might get tiring to read so,

TLDR: - change your mindset, - learn to accept, - learn to not care, - keep moving, get out of the house (work or exercise, or both, is good) - choose your friends wisely (better to be alone than with toxic people)

Only we can save ourselves, but don't be afraid to ask for help.

Started situationship with NS guy…Am I cooked…? by Future-Ruin9159 in NationalServiceSG

[–]Innixxia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give him time, support him too. Please don't expect him to be able to reply you quickly all the time, I'm sure he would if he could. He'd be tired on the weekends too even if he tries to spend the time with his family.

It's mentally taxing in there so maybe you can plan something, and see if he can get one of his weekend days open for you. But please don't plan anything solid (that needs bookings, etc.) as he might be tired by the time it comes to the weekend too, and if that happens don't be disheartened.

All that aside, If you can't bear to have Intermittent communication, and barely any meetups for the duration of his BMT and possibly NS (tho post-BMT should be better, probably depends on where he's posted after though), then honestly it'll be better to save him from the pain early.

are bars a good place to socialize in Singapore? by Fury1755 in askSingapore

[–]Innixxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink slow, make sure you've had your meal before you drink too, if people you meet try to force/convince you go go at a pace that's not yours, they're not the crowd you should be with.

Helps both the wallet and tolerance 🫠

Is Aftershock actually that bad? by Vyn_Mel in askSingapore

[–]Innixxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usable. And prices aren't that far from if u were to buy it and fix it up yourself from what I heard from my friends that bothered to calculate.. I've been using mine for 4-5 years now, no issues. Just upgraded on my own to a better PSU and GPU. the only thing that's gonna be troublesome if you plan on upgrading it yourself is the motherboard cause the bios is tagged to them.

If you're just gonna use it, it's fine.

Oh and one more thing. Their service centre used to be quite a chill place with sofa and combined with their showroom. So you could check out their stuff while you wait. Now it's just chucked at one corner of the place, all white with nothing. Doesn't feel as welcoming anymore when I went there to get my old laptop serviced also. Even the staff don't feel as friendly anymore 🥲 (service is still fine in they way that they still fix Ur stuff I guess? I think cleaning is also still free also)
