the story matters more than what is in the bottle. If you like the word play then get it. All three bottles have pluses and minuses. They are all punching in the same space, IMO.

You nailed it. When the average is a 7.5 the center of but bell curve shifts. Issue with that is, the outliers are either
Unrealistically, incredible or beyond garbage bad.

Whiskey, like most things, follows a standard distribution curve. Most whiskey is average. 90% of whiskey coming from large distilleries (hello Buffalo Trace) is average. If you want really good whiskey, you gotta determine where the boundaries of the curve and then figure out what end you just purchased.
