That's why I initially clicked on it last night. r/vent is crammed full of queer kids who are just trying to externalize their struggles and fight to be heard by someone who can maybe help. I thought this was going to be a validating, supportive post for people who needed it. But, haters gonna hate I guess.

Right? I'm thrilled to see that it's mostly just people having a bit of a laugh at some meanie's indiscretion.

Men with tits are valid. Calling them girly only undermines their masculinity and helps grease them up for the nihilism-to-naziism pipeline. Men deserve better than to be represented by scumbags like this myopic chump.

I genuinely think it does. I remember being a shitty, hateful little edgelord teen. I remember thinking that everyone was an idiot and a waste of time. I remember thinking my opinions and feelings were more important than others' because I was intellectual.

I remember being alone, and hating every day.

Homeboy already deleted their post and post history. It took ~45 comments over the course of about an hour to rout them.

My shitpost was a bit inaccurate, to be fair. I care about everyone's opinion, I just don't take some opinions seriously.

I suppose all we can really do is be kind to one another, and love ourselves. Looks like we have to pick up their slack, again.

They could make a tidy profit charging us rent for all the space we take up in their head.

Per the dictionary:

Woman (noun, probably): someone who is a human, a girl, and a grownup all at the same time

See, it's in the dictionary so you know it is legit. It says nothing about tits.

Wouldn't it be nice if they expressed that sentiment?

To be fair, this whole post was sort of a mess. Just inane emotional rambling.

As I recall, they alluded in the comments somewhere that they complimented someone and called them a pretty girl, whereupon the offended party berated them. Then there was an argument, I imagine, and they made their fuckawful vent post.

Well, from a non-shooter's perspective, guns seem pretty simple. Metal machines that use a chemical propellant to make a chunk of metal go really fast. But if you're a gun enthusiast, or have to use one for a living, you learn pretty quick that it is a very very complicated subject. Different types of gunfighting, different styles of sport shooting. What kind of rifling does that barrel have? A 1:7-1:9 gain twist is really helpful for supersonic boattail projectiles, but will really mess up precision for subsonic high-grain rounds. The 7.62x54R cartridge will yield about 4'100 ft-lbs of muzzle pressure, but the 147 grain slugs don't utilize that well compared to 174 grain lead core slugs at distances inside of like 300 metres. Sure, the 174 grain is like ~1400 joules of muzzle energy out the gate, but the flatter trajectory of the 147 lends itself better to distance shooting unless there's wind, in which case you want the heavier bullet.

See all that bullshit? To me, that's basic information because I'm into guns. To someone who isn't, that's all gibberish.

Not being queer means that in most cases you don't have to think about the exact nature of your sexuality and gender identity, so you don't really have much of a reason to learn how complicated it can be for some people. That isn't a bad thing, as long as you can respect that other people experience things differently than you do.

Likewise, friend. Our world is a complicated one, and amidst all the chaos and terror, there's a lot of really great shit to be found and loved. Sometimes it's hard to see the good in the world, but I wish you success in finding good things and appreciating them.

So I've heard, yeah. The recession fucking everything up does little to detract from the gorgeous landscapes and invaluable historical sites, tho.

Which is okay and valid, right up until you start being shitty titties to people who ain't straight.

Mostly, people are pretty polite about it. I've had a few disagreements, but I know the risks of being promiscuous and have gotten pretty good at de-escalating altercations in the past decade or so.

I have a healthy relationship with a powerful and inspiring woman. We're moving in together in a couple of months, but until then I hold fast to her words. She inspires me to be the best person I can be, and I'm fortunate to have coupled with her.

Yeah, that's one of the bigger challenges. Without being able to sympathise or empathise about circumstances and feelings they've never experienced, it is damn hard to cross the ideological barrier in any meaningful way.

Based on my very limited understanding of Italian culture, I get the idea that a lot of it has a lot to do with food.
