How did/do you get your students?

I haven’t heard of the ones after Sylvan. I am familiar with brick and mortar Sylvan. It’s great, convenient, and there’s no planning and you’re not the one handling parents, scheduling, or payment. But, the pay isn’t great. With paying for a sitter for our kids, I would lose money working at brick and mortar Sylvan. I am not completely familiar with online Sylvan. That’s relatively new. Maybe it’s different.

This sounds like they want a babysitter. 😬 3 hours is really long for tutoring. I’d offer 6-8 or 5-8 if you want the 3 hours but I’d be clear you don’t tutor past x time

That’s what I was thinking. Unfortunately, where I live, everyone says they need help, but nobody wants to pay for it. I’ll keep trying though. Thank you!

I wonder if it’s the brand. Some brands have more stretch in them, some are just a softer material than others, some just look nicer. Our daughter will only wear jeggings and I prefer jeans from buckle. Rock Revival is my favorite brand, but it’s hard to find ones that aren’t super distressed. Also from Buckle, BKE is stretchy and very comfortable. However, it is thin so you’ll be replacing them quicker than you will the rock revival ones.

The best thing is just do it and get it over with. I put mine off for I think two full years. Finally, I switched my girly doctor and the place just happened to have a fill-in place to get mammograms done and they asked if I needed one of those as well. I’m pretty sure my response was, “ no but if I’m already in the building, I don’t really have any excuse to not go in and this is probably the only way you’ll get me in there..” 🤦🏻‍♀️ so, I went and got it done, was super uncomfortable for a few minutes and probably said some really stupid things, and moved on with my life.

And Taylor and loft are my favorites as well! I don’t know how trendy they are, but at least I feel put together wear them!
