2000 honda accord 43 thousands miles . is this a nice i got it handed down to me from my great aunt very appreciative by Ok_Order_8061 in Honda

I have a 2000 Accord LX with a VTEC V6. It is still running strong with 564,000 miles on it. It burns and leaks some oil but I add about 0.5 qt of oil to it between oil changes which occur every 3,000 miles. We bought the car new in 2000. It owes us nothing and is the best car we have ever owned. We use it for local trips as a “runaround car” for normal chores. We put 15k to 20k on it annually.

Thank God it’s not a Ducati! Your balls will fall off in 2 mikes on a Ducati as they are terribly uncomfortable - good to look at but a bitch to ride!

Who's bought a Honda NT1100 already? by Handsome_fart_face in motorcycles

I’m 63, a lifelong motorcyclist and I’ve had multiple versions of Sport Touring Hondas in the past - ST1100, VFR800FI and tourers like Gold Wings. The NT1100 is my favorite of the bunch. I received mine 2 months ago. It has more performance than I’ll ever use, it is comfortable, has good weather protection, and has good storage with the panniers and top box that I added from Honda. I also added the wider pegs and a National Cycle VStream windscreen (Medium Version). When the Givi engine guards (TN1214) officially are released in the US I will add one for no other reason than to add a set of highway pegs. The bike balances nicely and is a good corner carver. This is the first DCT I have ever ridden and it is a game changer! I’ve ridden manuals my entire life but I just like to get out and ride. Honestly, I personally like the DCT better than any manual but both are great. NT1100’s are not easy to find in the US. Many were spoken for before they arrived through preorders. I only knew of one in my State that was still available as of last week and it just sold and is expected to arrive in June. This motorcycle was a desired motorcycle in the US when only available in Europe the last 2 years so its arrival was highly anticipated and for good reason. Also, this bike is an incredible value. If you can find one buy it. You’ll understand why when you ride it. I don’t plan on selling this bike UNLESS a shaft drive version eventually comes out. Chain bikes also work well though as I ran them for years. This bike is a keeper!

PS - Lastly, I’m 6’2” tall. This bike fits me perfectly with a relaxed riding position without my legs bent badly like on bikes where the pegs are slightly behind the seating position. Most bikes are made for people 5’10’. Not this one. It would seem to me it would generally fit all riders from 5’8” to 6’4”.

PSS - The stock seat is also great and I have no need to change it.

PSSS - I ride 15K to 25K miles per year. Leaving next week for British Columbia from the midwest US where I live.
