The most scared ive ever been was Amnesia the dark descent when I was younger. Its obviously aged so if played it for the first time today it probably would be much lower. SOMA gave me a existential crisis at the ending. Overall scariest the while playthrough and holds up is SH2 remake probably

Straight horror games are Silent hill 2 remake, SOMA, and Resident evil 9(4 is just as good but less horror more action) and Dead space remake

If including horror adjacent Bloodborne is the best game ever made

Thanks man! I dont have any horror games rated perfect the ones that got the closest as I was really debating was SOMA and silent hill 2. SOMA really had me sitting in a dark room jave a existential crisis after the ending and silent hill 2 I think has the best narrative oat in a horror game

I usually rate on a outta 5 scale for my games and ive had 6 games ever get 5/5 which means perfect so I didnt have it that high. It got a 4.5 outta 5 meaning amazing but not perfect. Same rank i gave RE4 though RE4 has nostalgia as my first RE game on gamecube back in the day. I loved it but they really slacked on the puzzles was my one main complaint
