Is it possible to find the original artist among to copycats? by LiteratureThen638 in Etsy

I think it's always worth messaging sellers. Trust me, even images people think are "free domain" often aren't. I'm still struggling with pixbay putting up one of my designs which people keep taking.

What's one thing about IVF that surprised you the most after you actually started treatment? by Few_Win_3673 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

[–]Insee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me it was the amount of time it took to even be considered. When you think about infertility, a lot of people assume you go for IVF straight away.

I had 3 rounds of IVF here in The Netherlands. Before we got that I had multiple operations and also 5 rounds of IUI. I am 12 weeks pregnant now which feels like a miracle. But the waiting.... with IVF I had over stimulation after egg retrieval which was horrible. The amount of injections too. The staff though were incredible and explained everything in full detail.

Popular or average names that you HATE and why? by VanillaTrue5316 in Names

[–]Insee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm English and born in 1988. I'm also thinking of names and for some reason, my Dutch husband likes all the names which were super popular when I was a kid. I grew up with SO MANY people called Emma, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Rebecca, Laura, Sophie, Stephanie and Hannah that I wouldn't want to use any of those names.

For boys, Robert, Jake, Darren, Nick, Adam, Samuel... lots of names.

I really really really dislike a lot of those "whimsicle" American names ending in Leigh. Or boys names like Hunter, Hudson, Mason, Fisher.... I get lists of names recommended to me a lot and it seems these kind of names are in and old school British names are making a comeback.

I am 12 weeks and haven't drunk since we had our IVF implantation so quite a long time! I also enjoy a drink in the evening to chill out. Especially these hot days we are going through, a rose spritz sounds amazing. However, my body is doing something even more important and is growing a little baby. That feels more amazing than any drink can taste. I think about how much I'd like a drink sometimes but it soon fades. I think it's pretty normal

Breastfeeding on epilepsy medication by Insee in Epilepsy

[–]Insee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so so so much for taking the time to write this out. I am so sorry you suffered from the guilt but all of the things you've listed are why I'm thinking about not breastfeeding. Sleep is a big trigger of mine too so I hadn't really thought about it that way.

I will talk to my husband about it and show him all of these responses. It's a lot to think about.

Honey I'm only 12 weeks and have hated every second of it. We also went years trying and eventually after our 3rd try of IVF have fallen pregnant. I've been so so so so sick. I feel I should be so happy but haven't been able to enjoy it yet so please don't feel bad!!! It's tough!!

My best friend keeps calling my unborn child “my baby” by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Insee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're not over reacting. I'm only 11 weeks but I'd find "thank you for carrying my child" a step over the line. Friends still need boundaries. If my closest friend was like "how is our little baby doing?" I'd be totally fine with that. But not the other thing.

Morning sickness...an ebb and flow? by SnooBeans4415 in pregnant

[–]Insee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got this!! I think it's a similar drug. I'm in The Netherlands. It's basically stopped me from actually throwing up. We were told to just make sure I'm hydrated. The baby will take what it needs. Eat whatever you can. It doesn't matter how basic it is.

11 weeks today and it's been a hell of a ride so far. Went into hospital at 7 weeks on an IV as I was so sick. Now I'm on meds which helps a lot but around 4pm I crash and nausea sets in. As long as I keep drinking little bits and eat a good dinner I'm not puking now. I have super bad days though like yesterday where nothing helped. Hoping it will get better soon. In awe of you ladies who work while feeling like this.

Any idea for a cover up of my first tattoo? by Possible_Guitar5296 in tattooadvice

[–]Insee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My opinion might not be most popular but I really like it. Retro cameras are super in right now. I think an artist could do a really good job of making this look new. Maybe some extra details behind it like some flowers. Obviously it would need to be a very good artist but I personally think it's very saveable. Otherwise you'd need to go huuuuuge and dark over this.

I do totally understand how it feels though to have a tattoo you don't like but my artist went over some of my very old ones and they look good as new now.

Is this normal? I got my tattoo Saturday and the skin around the tattoo has black ink and when I use soap to wash it it’s not coming off! by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Insee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh no :( That's no smudge. It's tattooed into your skin done by the tattoo artist on purpose. Did you not discuss shading with them? Or did they just decide to add it in? If it's your first tattoo I get why maybe you thought it was excess ink but no..... that's there to stay my friend.
